The 2025 Mr. Olympia is coming soon, and there’s plenty of wildcards heading into October. In a recent Cutler Cast Podcast on Sept. 10, 2025, Jay Cutler and Milos Sarcev weighed Kalecinski’s potential at the biggest show of the year.
Kalecinski decided to move from Classic Physique into the Men’s Open, but kept his transformation under wraps until competing. At the 2025 ProMuscle Italy Pro, he claimed gold with a 260-pound physique, proving himself against legitimate Open threats, including Quinton Eriya and Sergio Oliva Jr.
“The Miracle Bear’s” shocking performance has the community talking — coach Chris Aceto was blown away by his Men’s Open debut, and discussed fans comparing Kalecinski to former six-time Mr. Olympia winner Dorian Yates. Now, Cutler and Sarcev are assessing how he’ll fare against top-ranked opponents like Derek Lunsford, Nick Walker, Samson Dauda, and Hadi Choopan.
Jay Cutler, Milos Sarcev Reveal Urs Kalecinski’s Only Flaw & Discuss How He’ll Do at 2025 Mr. Olympia
In the video, Cutler first argued that certain divisions are holding athletes back from their best versions:

“I think the most important thing that we have to realize is Urs off-season was always impressive. We always talked about how much size he had, the problem is, and this is what’s happening and I’ll say it straight out: these other divisions are keeping a lot of guys back,” he said.
He adds that Kalecinski is sparking a new generation of talent in the IFBB Pro League.
“This would include Men’s Physique. Your potential Mr. Olympias and potential future guys, unfortunately, a majority aren’t in what we currently see today; they are sitting in the other divisions, 100%. This is just proof that it’s happening and Urs is going to spark a new generation.”
As for Kalecinski’s only flaw, Cutler pointed to a lack of density in his chest and back.
“The only flaw, he needs to get more density in the chest and back. Just more roundness, but the legs are world-class. He’s got honestly a great v-taper because he hasn’t blown up; he has to be careful because it’s the mistake we’ve all made. I’m not criticizing the current crop of guys, but everyone is too damn big.”
Cutler compared him against the best in the Men’s Open and was adamant that Kalecinski still needs a few years to crack the top five.
Put him next to Samson, Derek, Nick Walker, Andrew Jacked in this pose [side triceps],” said Cutler. “Yeah, you have to be realistic, but listen, who expected that he was going to win this show,” said Sarcev.
“Urs literally can be in two years fighting for a position in the top five.”
Cutler and Sarcev haven’t been the only big names to discuss Kalecinski’s Open splash. Based on what he saw, judge Terrick El Guindy is calling Kalecinski a superstar and predicts that with more muscle mass, he’ll pose a challenge to top names onstage.
Kalecinski made history as the only competitor to qualify for the Mr. Olympia in two divisions. Fans look forward to seeing how he fares at the 2025 Mr. Olympia, set for Oct. 9-12 in Las Vegas, Nevada.
