Classic Physique turned 212 Bodybuilder Keone Pearson has big plans in the Lonestar State next weekend. In a recent update to Instagram, Pearson showed off his physique one week before taking to the stage at the 2023 Texas Pro.

It took a moment for Pearson to discover which division would best suit his physique. His career as a Classic Physique athlete took off in 2019 when he secured his highest finish ever at Olympia in fourth place. His blend of symmetry, proportions, and fullness were key factors to his success.

Pearson mapped out his move to the Men’s 212 Bodybuilding category the following year (2020), which immediately produced results. He took first place at the Chicago Pro, proving his ability to stand against other top-tier threats. Then, he defended his Chicago Pro title in 2021 but fell to 14th at the Olympia.

Pearson bounced back with a win at the 2022 Tampa Pro. His last appearance in December at Olympia saw him take sixth. With more than just a cash prize on the line next weekend, Pearson is aiming to bring his best against a stacked lineup in Texas.

“Final package will be amazing.
Wait on it” Keone Pearson posted

Hours after the post, Pearson’s update caught the attention of former eight-time Mr. Olympia Lee Haney. He called Pearson’s physique “a combination of Lee Haney and Robby Robinson.”

To fuel his physique properly for the training demands of a 212 athlete, Pearson has dialed in his nutrition ahead of his next show in Texas. He’s given fans a look into the average food he consumes daily. Pearson utilized a 3,500-calorie diet for most of his contest prep, which consisted of six whole-food meal options.

Aside from diet and training, Pearson has been testing himself under the bright lights with guest posing. Last month, Pearson teased the size he’s bringing to Texas with a special appearance at the NPC Twin Cities Open.

In addition, fans are thrilled to see the Open class jump on stage. Hunter Labrada enters the 2023 Texas Pro with momentum after securing gold in Tampa. Andrew Jacked who took third at March’s Arnold Classic will also be gunning for his qualification along with mass monster Carlos Thomas Jr.

Should Keone Pearson find success in Texas, he’ll have the opportunity to face the who’s who of the 212, currently dominated by two-time Olympia winner Shaun Clarida. But Clarida won’t be the only challenger Keone has to worry about in Orlando, Florida. Former champ Kamal Elgargni will aim to win back the 212 Olympia at 51 as well. However, Elgargni’s first order of business will be competing at the return of Masters Olympia later this month.
