Lee Priest is one of the most well-rounded bodybuilders of all time, but his arm development is what really made him a freak of nature. So, in the latest video posted on December 23rd, Lee shared a simple tip that anyone can use to make their arms look massive.

Lee Priest is a true icon of bodybuilding’s golden era, a “Giant Killer” who famously stood toe-to-toe with men nearly a foot taller and often came out on top. While he’s known for his unfiltered personality, it’s his physique that made him one of the most exciting bodybuilders in history. Lee’s muscle density and incredible proportions played a key role in his exceptional competitive journey, while one of his strongest aspects was his arm size, specifically his biceps and forearms.

Lee Priest’s Tip for Massive Arms

Lee Priest had one universal tip for everyone who wants to make their arms look massive, regardless of age, and that is to diet down. While it might seem counterintuitive at first, Lee explained why it works so well. His main point is that cutting down makes you look shredded, making the muscle definition more prominent. As a result, the arms look bigger and better.

“You can get in shape and diet down. They look bigger because once your arm is lean, and if you see the bicep, tricep, and the definition, trust me, if your arm’s 14 inches but ripped, it’ll look like 17 inches. So that’s one way you can just create the illusion. But the main thing is just train because I don’t know how you train or what you’re eating.”

Lee Priest also touched on the topic of building muscle after the prime years and the challenges that come with it. While packing on multiple inches of muscle is possible at a younger age, Lee believes that getting in shape is the better route to take as the years stack on.

“Generally when you start getting 48-50 (years old) to gain 3 inches of muscle, unless you have great genetics like a Dexter Jackson or a Ronnie Coleman or maybe even myself, it’s really hard to start a growth phase then, but like I said, you can still train hard and just see what happens.”

Lee Priest spoke from experience, as he shared a comparison between two guys. Specifically, he noted how the guy with a smaller, shredded arm could actually look better than a guy who boasts an arm that is larger in diameter but carries more fat tissue.

“I’ve seen guys with small arms but that are shredded, that look impressive just because they’re shredded. If you had a guy who had a 19-inch arm who was sort of pudgy and fat and a guy who’s got a 15-inch shredded arm, trust me, the shredded arm is going to look a lot better. “

Lee Priest then talked about himself from his younger days. He said his arms reached about 24 inches when he was in the off season. When he got ready for shows and lost weight, his arms became smaller. However, because of the muscle definition, people actually believed that his arms grew in that period, which goes to prove that appearance is more important than size. Moreover, as he lost weight, his joints got smaller, which made his arms stand out even more.

“It’s like when I was 285, remember? And I’d start dieting down. My arm was 24 when I was 285 because it was fluid and fat, but I’d lose 40 pounds. ‘Oh, Lee. It looks like your arms have got bigger.’ and I probably just lost two inches of them. But because the definition’s coming in, the joints get smaller, so it appears to be jumping out more.”

He appeared in some of the most prestigious shows in the world, including Mr. Olympia and the Arnold Classic, where he managed to place in the top five. One of his greatest victories came at the 2006 IFBB Ironman Pro. Overall, Lee is one of the most knowledgeable men when it comes to bodybuilding, making his tips invaluable.
