Bodybuilder Martin Fitzwater is inching toward the second Mr. Olympia contest of his career. In a YouTube video shared on July 10, 2025, he went through his full day of eating to stay huge ahead of the biggest show of the year.
Fitzwater flew under the radar heading into his debut on the Mr. Olympia stage. He brought sharp conditioning and fullness, allowing him to penetrate the first callout alongside heavy hitters like Derek Lunsford, Hadi Choopan, and Samson Dauda.
Ultimately, ‘The Martian’ secured fourth place, with some arguing he could have taken Lunsford’s third-place position. Fitzwater wasted no time after the triumph. He entered the 2024 Prague Pro, where he faced an Open class Chris Bumstead.
Fitzwater’s mass was too much for the six-time Classic Physique champ and left the Czech Republic with his invite to the Olympia. However, he still wanted to test himself at the Pittsburgh Pro and took third place against a stacked lineup. Now, with another statement performance in his crosshairs, he invited fans on a journey into his kitchen, revealing which foods are helping him bring his best once again.

Fitzwater revealed that this is a typical day of eating for him, though, at times, he switches the order in which he consumes the meals.
“This is one day of meal prep,” shared Fitzwater. “Now, sometimes the order of these gets changed around depending on what time I’m training, but this is my full day of eating.”
Meal 1
His first meal of the day starts with ground turkey, cream of rice, berries, and almond butter, providing him with the carbs, fats, and protein he needs for stable energy.
- 130 grams of ground turkey
- Cream of Rice (100 carbs worth)
- 100 grams of berries
- 10 grams of almond butter
Meal 2
His second dish is simple but effective: chicken with white rice to fulfill his protein goal while ensuring his carbs stay steady for the day.
- Chicken
- White Rice
Meal 3
He follows that up with another dish made of white rice, but swapped the chicken for turkey.
- Ground Turkey
- White Rice

Meal 5
After his workout, he refuels with a protein shake and fast-acting carbs from Fruity Pebbles cereal.
- Two Scoops of Protein Powder
- 7 Rice Cakes
- Fruity Pebbles Cereal (100 carbs worth)
Meal 6
He tops off the day of prep with another protein shake and mixed nuts.
- Two Scoops of Protein Powder
- 24 grams of mixed nuts
Fitzwater doesn’t intend to rely on sheer mass to thrive on the Olympia stage. He recently laid out plans to bring a ‘Classic look’ to the Men’s Open division. The standout also reflected on his breaking point in bodybuilding that almost forced him to quit.
Fitzwater is locking in his diet so nothing stands in his way later this year. The 2025 Mr. Olympia is set for October 9-12 in Las Vegas, Nevada.
