With plenty of big names on the roster, the Men’s Open division is packing heat for this year’s Mr. Olympia, set to take place November 2-5 in Orlando, Florida. Among the list of contenders sits Regan Grimes and Michal Krizo, who shared their impressive physique updates on Instagram with only five weeks until the marquee event.
Canadian star Regan Grimes made a big impression on the bodybuilding community since earning his first Pro win at the 2018 New York Pro in Classic Physique. Following this triumph, Grimes made his appearance on the Classic Physique Olympia stage and took eighth place in his commanding debut.
After his incredible first run on the Olympia stage, Grimes switched to the Men’s Open division and has been a dominating force since. In 2022, Grimes delivered two seventh-place performances at the Arnold Classic and the Boston Pro. Initially having his eyes set on the 2022 Mr. Olympia, Grimes shared a ripped physique update just before ultimately deciding not to participate.
Having not performed at the 2022 Mr. Olympia, Regan Grimes honed his physique and made an impressive appearance at the 2023 Flex Weekend Pro where he secured second place just below Nathan De Asha. However, when they met for the rematch in Spain at the 2023 Europa Pro Championships, Grimes came out on top, earning his qualification for Olympia.

Michal Krizo Shows Off Vascular Most Muscular in Latest Update
Krizo, who is using every bit of his freak factor this year, looks on track for an even better performance at the Olympia.
Michal Krizo has been attracting attention since last year when he earned his Pro card at the 2022 Amateur Olympia Italy. After securing his place with an IFBB Pro card, Krizo made his Pro debut at the EVLS Prague Pro and displayed great evolution to his physique en route to first place.
Following his immensely busy season, Krizo punched his ticket to the 2022 Mr. Olympia where he placed 12th. Heading into 2023, Michal Krizo focused on improving his back, shoulders, and triceps to bring a more complete physique to the Empro Classic Spain Pro where he took home the gold. This earned him his invite to 2023 Olympia.
As of late, Krizo showed off his freakishly large build and wicked striations in a recent physique update on Instagram.
It will be interesting to see how Krizo and Grimes fare on the Olympia stage. While Grimes is known for aesthetics, mass, and shape, Krizo plans to get by on sheer dense muscularity and dry conditioning.
This lineup is shaping up to be one of the most competitive in years with names like Nick “The Mutant” Walker, runner-up Derek Lunsford, and reigning champion Hadi Choopan eager to step on stage for the number one prize.
