Bodybuilder Samson Dauda is coming off an incredible performance at the 2023 Arnold Classic. In a recent Cutler Cast video, coach Milos Sarcev and bodybuilding legend Jay Cutler backed Dauda to potentially defeat Hadi Choopan and Derek Lunsford at the next Mr. Olympia contest.
Samson Dauda gained attention for his insane muscle mass and shape as an IFBB Men’s Open competitor. Since starting his run in 2018, Dauda competed at several contests and became a regional star out of the United Kingdom. He made two strong appearances at the 2020 IFBB British Grand Prix and the 2020 IFBB Europa Pro Championships. Then, Dauda made his way to the 2021 Arnold Classic UK, where he presented a stellar package and narrowly missed out on the top prize to Nathan De Asha.
Dauda followed up with a top-three finish at the Yamamoto Cup Pro and added a runner-up performance at the 2021 Romania Muscle Fest Pro. He earned an invite to the Mr. Olympia competition after scoring gold at the EVLS Prague Pro.
Last season, Dauda placed fourth at the 2022 Arnold Sports Festival and the Boston Pro. He entered his maiden Mr. Olympia with a lot of buzz as many veterans called him the dark horse of the division. ‘The Nigerian Lion’ proved the hype was real with a sixth-place finish.

Following the result, Dauda set his sights on the 2023 Arnold Classic. He was brimming with confidence after battling with some of the elite contenders on stage last Olympia and believed he could even defeat fellow standout Nick Walker by sticking to his own game.
Former Mr. Olympia Samir Bannout extended his support for Dauda to come out on top of the contest given he came in shredded. Bannout praised Dauda’s overall muscle development and proportions.
‘The Nigerian Lion’ sent warning shots with an insane physique update four weeks out of the Arnold Classic. Two weeks later, he gave fans a sneak peek at the package he would bring to the event while showing off his huge arms.
Coach Milos Sarcev opened up on persuading Dauda to use trenbolone in preparation for the event. He revealed Dauda agreed to take the substance for the first time of his career. At the show, Dauda found himself in a battle with ‘The Mutant’ and rising sensation Andrew Jacked. Eventually, Dauda came out triumphant as the winner with arguably his best package to date.
Milos Sarcev & Jay Cutler say Samson Dauda has the potential to beat Hadi Choopan & Derek Lunsford
In a recent video uploaded to YouTube, Milos Sarcev and Jay Cutler shared their analysis of Samson Dauda’s potential. They believe he could possibly overtake reigning Mr. Olympia Hadi Choopan and runner-up Derek Lunsford if he continues to improve.
“He’s the best combination of everything,” said Sarcev. “Can he beat Hadi and Derek? Yes. Would this conditioning and size beat them at Olympia? We’d have to see them lined up next to each other.“
“I think now you’ve figured the formula and it’s just working to get the skin a little thinner as you progress,” said Cutler. “It’s just routine now. I told him you’re going to have where you train harder and days where you train easier. You have to listen to your body. You’re in that click period and there’s a certain click period that people go through. I experienced this in my late 20s.
“I feel that his peak is a little delayed because of the experience and you’ve seen this crazy growth over the last year. But now, it’s just refinement of the skin thinning down a little bit better. Nothing else. Everything will improve. It’s all about just routine and training.”
Sarcev revealed Dauda came into Ohio more shredded with a higher carb diet since the Olympia.
“He was spot on. Now, it’s just strategizing. Play to your strengths. Do you think I put him on 0 carbs to just get him super lean? He’s been on a high-carb diet since the Olympia to pretty much till now. He dropped to 200 in a few days. He was not on low carbs. He didn’t suffer through dieting.”
Samson Dauda won his first Arnold Classic title and became the 20th man to do so in the history of the competition. Based on the package he brought on stage in Columbus, Dauda will likely pose a real threat at the 2023 Mr. Olympia, widely regarded as the Super Bowl of bodybuilding.
