Australian CrossFit icon Tia-Clair Toomey continues to train hard and maintain a relatively healthy diet during her pregnancy. In a recent YouTube video, Toomey shared her full day of eating while pregnant.

Tia-Clair Toomey first gained attention for her athletic prowess in 2015 when she made a statement in her CrossFit Games debut with a runner-up finish. She earned the Rookie of the Year honors. The following year, Toomey battled it out with Katrín Davíðsdóttir again but fell short of victory.

Having narrowly missed out on the top prize to Davíðsdóttir twice, Toomey came back with a vengeance. She went up against Kara Webb in a hard-fought contest and secured her first CrossFit Games title in 2017. Once she took the crown, Toomey became an unstoppable force as she successfully defended the title several times and extended her reign of dominance to match Mat Fraser’s record of five wins at the CrossFit Games.

In August 2022, Toomey created history by scoring gold at the 2022 NOBULL CrossFit Games. She became the Fittest Woman on Earth® for the sixth time consecutively, breaking Fraser’s record for the most wins in the competition’s history.

Following the win, Toomey looked to switch to the individual category for the team division. She got announced to compete at the 2022 Down Under Championship.

Tia-Clair Toomey unveiled the 4,000+ calorie diet that she utilized to get ready in the final two weeks before the latest CrossFit Games. She laid out the foods that fueled her training which led her to another win. She opened up on a back injury she suffered in the build-up to the contest last September. The injury forced her to the sidelines for a full month and also risked her participation in the event.

Toomey collaborated with Brooke Wells for an intense team training session in prep for the 2022 Down Under Championship. The duo kicked off the first day of their team training by using pyramid rep schemes on multiple exercises. Toomey declared her ambitions to win another individual title at the 2023 CrossFit Games. She reported positive updates on her recovery from the back injury last October.

Toomey announced her pregnancy and pulled out of the upcoming CrossFit Games four months ago. She didn’t take time away from training and gave fans a look into her insane home gym days later.

In a recent YouTube video, Tia-Clair Toomey shared her full day of eating while pregnant.

“I should tell you that I haven’t been tracking anything and Shane’s not following any particular macro plan,” she said. “So everything is just going off how much I think is going to be sufficient enough.”

“My first trimester, scrambled eggs was the only thing that I had an appetite for. When we were in Australia, every breakfast consisted of them, even for some lunches and dinners.”

Breakfast: turkey bacon, purple onions, mushrooms, avocado, and eggs on a bun/bagel with Truff hot sauce

Pre-workout meal: yogurt with pineapple and granola added at the end.

Training session: rowing, kettlebell front squats, and elevated push-ups

Intra-workout snacks: sliced apples, peanut butter and banana wraps, Welch’s fruit snacks, a Nutri-grain bar, and an electrolyte pack.

“My proteins is beef. We like all kind of protein but I’m more drawn to red meat.”

Dinner (at 6:00 p.m.): beef stir fry with broccoli, carrots, onions, celery, capsicums (bell pepper), garlic, ginger, and chili pepper.

Dessert: coconut oil, 60% cocoa chocolate chip bits, and coconut flakes with a spoonful of oil and salt.
