The 2025 Arnold Classic competitors list has been revealed. In a post made on December 13, 2024, the Arnold Sports Instagram handle confirmed the official lineup for the Men’s Open, Classic Physique, Men’s Physique, Men’s Wheelchair, Bikini, Fitness, and Wellness divisions. A staggering $500,000 purse will be awarded to the Open Bodybuilding winner at the 2025 Arnold Classic taking place in Columbus, Ohio, from February 27 through March 2.
All eyes are on the headlining act in the Men’s Open division. Samson Dauda has taken a huge gamble by competing at the upcoming Arnold Classic contest after his 2024 Mr. Olympia win. He previously announced his participation and invited Hadi Choopan and Derek Lunsford to join him.
Although ‘The Persian Wolf’ opted not to compete this year, third-place 2024 Olympia finisher Derek Lunsford has thrown his hat into the ring. With a chance at redemption and revenge against Dauda, he could easily set himself up with huge momentum, assuming he can pull off the victory.
That’s just two names. The lineup is stacked with talent and will see Brandon Curry, a former Mr. Olympia titleholder, aim to become a three-time Arnold Classic champion, having won the show in 2019 and 2022. Who could forget Olympia fifth-place finisher Andrew Jacked? He continues to make drastic improvements to his shape, size, and conditioning with hopes of claiming the prestigious title in March.
Aside from these heavy hitters, the stage is set for an epic battle with plenty of top-caliber Open Pros, including Akim Williams, Carlos Thomas Jr., James Hollingshead, Shaun Clarida, Jonathan Delarosa, William Bonac, Justin Rodriguez, and Patrick Moore.
