Things did not go according to plan for Keone Pearson, in 2021. So he has decided to make a change, opting to make the return to Classic Physique competition.
Pearson has been one of the more promising athletes competing on stage over the last few years. After initially beginning his career as a Classic Physique competitor, he made the decision to move to 212 after coming in fourth at the 2019 Classic Physique Olympia.
Things began well, with him winning the 2020 Chicago Pro, but he did not compete at the 2020 Olympia due to some personal issues. He won at Chicago again in 2021, but after coming in 14th place at the 212 Olympia this year, he decided it was time to make a change, taking to his Instagram to reveal that he will be making a return to Classic Physique.
“This has been on my mind for sometime and I had talks about it & this is honestly the best decision for ME. Going back to classic & bringing the best & healthy version of myself ever! Call me crazy but watch me make it happen 😉
For everyone that supports me an Rock with me truly appreciate you all ❤️” Pearson wrote.
A Returning Classic Physique Contender
Prior to his shocking decision to move to the 212 Division, Keone Pearson looked to be a serious contender in the Classic Physique Division. He had wins at the likes of the New York Pro, as well as coming in fourth place at both the Olympia and Arnold Classic, all while being a Classic Physique competitor.
The Classic division has changed a lot since he was competing there though, so it will be interesting to see where Keone stacks up now. If he can get to a point where he does not need to worry about a weight cap, he has a physique that could be a tough test for the likes of Chris Bumstead, Breon Ansley, and Terrence Ruffin.

It is going to be exciting to see how Keone Pearson looks upon his return to Classic Physique. Time will tell if he is able to pick back up where he left off when he changed divisions in the first place.
