Bodybuilding veteran Milos Sarcev is proving that age is just a number. On Jan. 21, 2026, he took to Instagram, showing off his ripped physique update at 62.
Milos Sarcev commanded the bodybuilding stage for over two decades. He competed against the world’s best from the 1980s to the 2000s. From former six-time Olympia champ Dorian Yates to “The King” Ronnie Coleman, he never missed a chance to test himself against the sport’s top threats.
The greatest victory of Sarcev’s career came in 1989, when he claimed the prestigious Mr. Universe title. In 1998, he achieved 10th at the Mr. Olympia, his highest placing at the ‘Super Bowl of Bodybuilding.’ Although he’s retired, Sarcev still trains regularly and focuses on eating clean.
Aside from competing, Sarcev has also had a hand in shaping the future of the Men’s Open. He coached mass monster Samson Dauda before the Nigerian native claimed the Mr. Olympia title in 2024. Despite years away from the stage, Sarcev’s influence on the Open division is noticeable.
He serves as a co-host on Jay Cutler’s Cutler Cast Podcast, where the two unpack the latest events to shake up the sport. With the New Year kicking off, Sarcev revealed his current size and conditioning levels as he continues to focus on longevity.

Sarcev is far from the only bodybuilder from a past era to remain in tremendous shape. Cutler has also kept his training and nutrition on point since retirement. He transformed his physique for a ‘Fit-for-50’ challenge and has held on to those gains for over two years.
Lee Labrada is 65 and sports lean muscle and a tapered waist. For over 30 years, he’s maintained his build, showing the next generation of athletes how to achieve longevity. Kevin Levrone, who competed against Sarcev in the 2000s, has used fasted cardio and functional training to stay fit.
With notable talents labeling the sport dangerous, Sarcev’s update is all the more impressive. He continues to show what’s possible for athletes beyond the stage.
