Judge Terrick El Guindy is taking a closer look at one of the sport’s newest rivalries. In an Instagram post from May 27, 2026, he labeled Derek Lunsford one of the greatest bodybuilders of all time and confirmed his feud with Andrew Jacked is ‘100% authentic.’
In 2025, Derek Lunsford accomplished the improbable. He went 3-0, earning victories at the Arnold Classic, Pittsburgh Pro, and Mr. Olympia. In light of his triumph in Vegas, he joined Jay Cutler as only the second bodybuilder to reclaim the Sandow trophy after losing it onstage.
Chinedu Andrew ‘Jacked’ Obiekea emerged as an Olympia frontrunner in the meantime, thanks to three consecutive wins at the Romania Pro, Arnold Classic Ohio, and UK events. When they met for the annual Mr. Olympia battle workout, tensions flared, with Lunsford telling Jacked he’d never win the title as long as he’s around.
Some online questioned whether the bad blood was real, but El Guindy made it clear the exchange wasn’t scripted. Looking ahead, he believes dethroning Lunsford has become more challenging due to the reigning champion’s density, especially from the back.
Terrick El Guindy Compares Lunsford to Dorian Yates, Confirms Rivalry With Jacked is ‘100% Authentic’
In the video, El Guindy shared that the rivalry with Lunsford and Jacked was not manufactured for hype and controversy.
“It got tense, yes. I saw some people saying on the internet that it was scripted. You are out of your mind. I’m telling you right now, you’re out of your mind if you think me, Terrick El Guindy, I’m going to tell Derek Lunsford and Andrew Jacked to rehearse something so we can create some controversy. This is not an influencer environment. This is the Mr. Olympia.”
“If they don’t like each other, we want it 100% authentic. That is the goal of Olympia Battle. There’s always tension.”
According to El Guindy, Lunsford’s muscle density is what makes him dangerous:
“In Pittsburgh, Derek showed why he is Mr. Olympia. A lot of people love Samson Dauda and Andrew Jacked. Yes, I love them too, but let’s get down to business. Derek Lunsford is one of the most dense bodybuilders in the history of the sport,” Terrick El Guindy said.
He compared Lunsford to Dorian Yates, pointing to their dominant backs despite not having the best arms.
“I’m starting to compare him to Dorian Yates. Yes, the same guy that had the most amazing back, but he didn’t have amazing arms. He won six Mr. Olympias.
Derek Lunsford has the density to beat guys that are taller, more aesthetically pleasing, just like Dorian Yates did, beating Shawn Ray, beating Flex Wheeler. Derek Lunsford is one of the greatest bodybuilders of all time.”
After claiming his second Mr. Olympia title, Lunsford’s confidence has only gone up. He recently touched on the Jacked rivalry and believes he can win the next three Mr. Olympias.
“I might be a nice guy, I might care for you, but you wanna challenge me for this title — I don’t think so. I’m going to take your head off.”
Anticipation for the biggest show of the year continues to build. The 2026 Mr. Olympia is scheduled for September 24-27 in Las Vegas, Nevada.
