Ramon ‘Dino’ Queiroz’s confidence is at an all-time high ahead of his title defense. In a September 7 video, he mapped out his plan to beat Mike Sommerfeld at the 2026 Mr. Olympia.

The 2025 Mr. Olympia had enormous stakes. A year prior, Chris Bumstead announced his retirement from the class after earning his sixth consecutive title. This left a vacancy, and fans had a few names on the shortlist who could take the torch.

Mike Sommerfeld entered the show with momentum, but was nearly pulled out after missing the height and weight cap. While he successfully made weight, he lost to Dino three poses to two. According to Tyler Manion, Dino’s conditioning, size, and fullness tipped the contest in his favor. However, if the Brazilian star aims to retain the crown, he’ll need an even stronger look this year.

In the video, Dino’s coach confirmed his weight is sitting at 107 kilograms (235.9 pounds). He is four kilograms away from his weight limit.

“Today, Ramon is 107 kilograms. Four kilos to the limit,” his coach shared

The reigning champ said his chest and back improvements will help him against Sommerfeld.

“I’m ready for the battle because me and Pacho are working on it all. My back is better. Now, my chest is better. My confidence too. Yeah, it’s important. This is what matters.”

With his team’s help, he isn’t feeling extra pressure ahead of his title defense:

“It’s more [pressure] to defend because we won the title. Now, it’s the next title. It has a lot of pressure, but not me. The people, other guys, but not me. I’m working today. Me and Pacho; I’m believing in my work and Pacho and Aceto. This is it.”

It won’t just be the Ramon Dino-Mike Sommerfeld show. Other capable contenders could pull off shock upsets at the Mr. Olympia. Terrence Ruffin, a two-time Arnold Classic champion, remains one of the most decorated athletes in the lineup. He proved himself last season with a bronze finish at the 2025 Mr. Olympia, with many noting that he had the best posing of the entire event.

Dino won’t look past his rivals, but has teased an eventual move to the Men’s Open division. He emphasized that he plans to win five more Classic Physique Olympia titles before making the switch. For now, he’s laser-focused on extending his reign. Don’t miss the 2026 Mr. Olympia from September 24-27 in Las Vegas, Nevada.
