Bodybuilder Andrew Jacked (Chinedu Andrew Obiekea) will not be competing at the 2024 Arnold Classic or the Arnold Classic UK. In a post published on Instagram, Jacked confirmed he would not attend both events due to personal matters requiring his attention.

As a Men’s Open Pro, it didn’t take long for followers of the sport to take notice of Andrew Jacked. Boasting outstanding symmetry, proportions, and stature, Jacked’s combination of physical attributes rapidly pushed him into the upper echelon of bodybuilding talent. After earning his Pro card in 2022, Jacked picked up two major wins at the Texas Pro and the Arnold Classic UK.

In his very first Mr. Olympia contest (2022), Jacked overcame a 102-degree fever en route to securing eighth place. Instead of taking a rest, Jacked signed up to compete at the 2023 Arnold Classic on short notice. While he presented one of his most conditioned looks in Columbus, Ohio, Jacked finished third behind Nick Walker and Samson Dauda.

Defending his title successfully at the 2023 Texas Pro, Jacked went on to finish fifth in his sophomore Mr. Olympia appearance. Since turning Pro, Jacked hadn’t taken a break, though it looks like personal matters have finally prevented the Nigerian native from continuing his contest streak.

Andrew Jacked Reveals He Has Withdrawn from 2024 Arnold Classic & 2024 Arnold Classic UK

Based on Jacked’s post, his decision appears to be based on personal ‘factors’ that require his full attention. For that reason, he felt it was best to remove himself from the event since he couldn’t concentrate on his prep and refused to present anything less than ‘100%.’

Below, you can find Andrew Jacked’s official statement regarding his withdrawal:
“I’m pulling out from both Arnold’s. I’m having so many things happening at same time from different factors and all needs my attention which makes it difficult to concentrate for this prep.

I don’t want to go there anything short of 100%. I just don’t want to make up the numbers nor get placings if not for the Win.” Andrew Jacked wrote.

Considering Andrew Jacked secured a top-three position at last year’s Arnold Classic, his removal from the competition is a massive blow to the quality of the lineup. Nevertheless, fans have been counting down the days until the mega event.

Defending champion Samson Dauda enters this show as one of the favorites, having recently taken third at the 2023 Mr. Olympia contest. Dauda also traveled to Europe and nabbed wins at the 2023 Romania Muscle Fest Pro and EVLS Prague Pro.

Aside from Dauda, former 2022 Mr. Olympia Hadi Choopan will make his respective AC debut. Given that Choopan just surrendered his title to Derek Lunsford on the sport’s biggest stage, ‘The Persian Wolf’ enters this show with a chip on his shoulder.

In addition, other heavy hitters are making their way to Ohio like Rubiel ‘Neckzilla’ Mosquera, Marcello De Angelis (Horse MD), and Rafael Brandao. The 2024 Arnold Classic promises to deliver some unforgettable moments in the sport. In the months to come, hopefully, fans get to see Andrew Jacked back on a bodybuilding stage soon!
