Annie Thorisdottir Shares Her Intense Pregnancy Workout While 35 Weeks Along

With her due date rapidly approaching, Annie Thorisdottir looks ready to pop! However she showed us recently that she is not letting that stop her from getting in a decent workout session.

It seemed that everyone in the CrossFit community reacted with love and excitement when Annie announced that she and her significant other were expecting their first child. She is considered one of the kindest and most beloved figures in the sport, and so there was joy at the thought of being able to be a part of this new journey. At least, so long as you could get over the fact that she is not competing at the CrossFit Games this year.

As someone who was the first person to earn the title of Fittest Woman on Earth two times, it is clear that Annie Thorisdottir takes her fitness seriously. Therefore it comes as no surprise that she wants to still workout, even when she is 35 weeks pregnant. However the type of workout that she shared to her Instagram recently is pretty intense nonetheless. But don’t worry! She explains that she is monitoring her heart rate the whole time, to make sure she stays at safe levels.

My workout was : ⁣
⁣
21 wall ball – ⁣
18cal bike -⁣
15 KB swings – ⁣
12 box step over – ⁣
9 DB front squats⁣
⁣
Rest 1 min ⁣
wall balls go to the 9 reps and now it starts with 21 cal bike – 18 KB swings – 15box step over… ⁣
⁣
Rest 1 min ⁣
Starting with 21 KB swings and ends with 9 cal bike ⁣
⁣
Finishing off with 5 min on the bike 💦⁣
⁣
I am monitoring my Hr through all of these making sure I am not going to hard! 😉”

Obviously, Annie is in tremendous shape, so the type of output she can have while keeping her heart rate low is more than average. Regardless it is wild to see someone this far along in their pregnancy looking the way that she is. This is a workout that could give some non-pregnant people some problems, but she absolutely breezes through it.

As of now, Annie Thorisdottir is standing by her decision to sit out the 2020 CrossFit Games. However it will be interesting to see if she changes her mind, now that the date has been pushed back for the event. Especially considering some of the big changes that she and other athletes were wanting have happened.
