It would be an understatement to say that Flex Wheeler has been going through some tough times lately. Nevertheless, he is persevering through it all, and is back in the gym anyway.
Wheeler is a legend in the bodybuilding world. However, he recently suffered a major medical incident, resulting in him receiving a partial amputation on his leg. Although this was something which was not exactly surprising for Flex, it was concerning to the rest of the community, who were taken aback.
Following the procedure, Wheeler had been very honest about his mentality with the situation. He expressed that while he was mostly staying positive, it has been hard sometimes. Therefore he was eager to get back to the gym, and back to something that was normal for him.
When Flex Wheeler got back to training, it was easy to see how much happier it made him. He was even able to make big progress, taking his first steps since the procedure. However, he still has a ton of room to go, as he is still dealing with health concerns, and illness.
Despite that, Wheeler is back in the gym yet again, proving how tough he is. In a post to his Instagram, Flex demonstrates his mental wherewithal by hitting some lat pulldowns.

“Been going thru is for the last few weeks. Neuropathy PAIN 24/7 💔💔💔💔😥😥😥But life most go on. I NO NOT GOING QUITTER🙏🏾🙏🏾”
Wheeler has certainly proven to the world that he is not a quitter, before this gym session. He explains that he has been dealing with pain from neuropathy for several weeks. This is a condition which causes numbness and pain in peripheral nerves, often in the hands or feet. To be able to push through that and do a good workout, is quite inspirational.
Flex Wheeler continues to show with each passing day, that he is as tough as it comes. As he continues to get back in the swing of things, he keeps pushing the boundaries on what is possible.
