Terry Gene Bollea, popularly known by his ring name Hulk Hogan, is widely regarded as one of the most famous and successful wrestlers of all time. In a recent video posted on YouTube, fellow pro wrestling veteran Kurt Angle revealed that Hogan could no longer feel his lower body after multiple back surgeries.

Hulk Hogan gained attention as a pro wrestler under the World Wrestling Federation (WWF) banner in the 1980s and 90s. The wrestling legend won the WWF Championship five times. In addition to many other accolades, he is a six-time WCW champion and holds the record in the organization for the longest reign.

Hogan briefly stepped away from wrestling to explore his passion for acting. He made a notable appearance in the third installment of the cult classic boxing film franchise Rocky, led by Sylvester Stallone.

In 2019, a biographical film based on Hogan was announced. Marvel superstar Chris Hemsworth got tapped to play the lead role in the story, showing Hogan’s rise to popularity. Although Hemsworth boasts one of the best builds of anyone in Hollywood, he knew he needed to pack on the pounds to accurately portray the wrestling behemoth. Hogan praised Hemsworth’s huge arms after he finished shooting the latest Thor movie. He noticed the gains Hemsworth made and said he achieved a ‘Hogan Pump.’

Ahead of the re-release of Rocky IV, Stallone shared a never-seen-before photo with Hogan from the sets of Rocky III. Hogan appeared significantly bigger than Stallone as he stood on a platform to increase their natural height difference. Hogan seems to have downsized since his early days when he tipped the scales at 302 pounds. He disclosed that he lost about 25 pounds in a few months and weighed 275 pounds in Nov. 2021.

Kurt Angle reveals Hulk Hogan can’t feel his lower body

In a recent YouTube video, Kurt Angle revealed the conversation he had with Hulk Hogan when the two crossed paths at the 30th-anniversary show of Raw.

“Hogan had his back surgery again,” said Angle. “He had the nerves cut from his lower body. He can’t feel his lower body. So he uses his cane to walk around. I thought he was using the cane because he had pain in his back. He doesn’t have any pain. He has nothing at all. He can’t feel anything.

“Now he can’t feel his legs. He has to walk with a cane which is pretty serious. I really feel for Hogan. He put his heart and soul into the business and it ate him up. I mean, if you’re gonna kick off the show, the 30th anniversary of Raw, it should be Hulk Hogan. He’s the name and face of the company. He’s the guy that revolutionized pro wrestling. I have so much respect for him.”
