Bodybuilder Joe Mackey gained a lot of attention for his insanely jacked physique and crazy feats of strength in the last few years. In a recent video posted on Muscle & Strength’s YouTube channel, Mackey shared his epic cheat meal order consisting of huge portions and deep-fried desserts.

Joe Mackey made a name for himself on the regional circuit in the NPC league. He earned his pro card in 2017 and kicked off his professional bodybuilding career at the IFBB Ferrigno Legacy Pro. He continued competing in several shows and stayed on the periphery of the top ten. The 37-year-old finished eighth at the 2020 IFBB Tampa Pro and placed 12th at the 2021 IFBB Chicago Pro.

Mackey’s consistency earned him praise as he kept improving over the years. Last year proved to be his best season. Mackey got fans excited with a shredded physique update ahead of competitions last July. He turned heads at the 2022 IFBB Tampa Pro and cracked the top five with a fourth-place finish. His next appearance at the 2022 IFBB Texas Pro resulted in ninth place.

Besides boasting a full chest and huge arm muscles, Mackey is also renowned for his insane strength. Mackey regularly shares clips of him recording heavy lifts. In Aug. 2022, he smoked a massive 725-lb deadlift for three reps in a ‘light’ back day training session.

He’s on a mission to test his limits and become the strongest deadlifter in the community. Mackey recorded a new deadlift PR last October when he crushed a giant 820-pound deadlift for two reps. He indicated achieving the new PR while working his way back up to even heavier lifts.

Mackey gave fans a look into his grocery cart for muscle growth in the off-season. He did not get any junk food and provided a detailed nutritional breakdown of each item on the list.

He started the year strong with an appearance at C.T. Fletcher’s Iron Wars VII last month. He entered the contest with a lot of hype and did not disappoint as he pulled off a crazy deadlift of 910 pounds (412.7-kg), setting a new PR for himself and also scoring the unofficial heaviest deadlift ever by an IFBB Pro competitor.

“I like to have a cheat meal usually after I do cardio fasted in the morning or after a hard heavy workout,” said Mackey. “In today’s situation I did cardio this morning, had a small breakfast and knew I was going to cheat pretty heavy tonight. But you also have to listen to your body.”

“I don’t do cheat days. When I do a cheat meal or a refeed meal, all my other meals are not going to be anything bad.”

Although he does not like to have cheat days, he admitted the meal was so big it would keep him full for the rest of the day. He did not list the exact items or the portion size but can be seen eating huge servings of his favorite foods.

Joe Mackey’s epic cheat meal order:

  • Sandwich
  • Fried pickles
  • Onion rings
  • Mozzarella sticks
  • Chicken tenders
  • A variety of chicken wings
  • Triple cheeseburger
  • French fries.
  • Fried Twinkie
  • Deep-fried cheesecake bites
  • Deep-fried chocolate chip cookies

Joe Mackey joined forces with powerlifting sensation Larry Wheels a few weeks ago. He enlisted Wheels, renowned for his unreal strength, to help him achieve a new PR on the deadlift of 1,000 pounds (453.6-kg). Based on his track record, Mackey might cross off another goal this year.
