Retired IFBB Pro Kevin Levrone hasn’t slowed down since stepping away from his career. On Nov. 20, 2025, via Instagram, he showed off his shredded midsection and lean physique.

Kevin Levrone‘s physique defined the 1990s era of bodybuilding. His thin waist, proportions, and X-frame helped establish him as a leading Mr. Olympia threat for years. While dynasty-holders Dorian Yates and Ronnie Coleman prevented him from earning the Sandow trophy, he still led a decorated career.

Levrone laid claim to the prestigious Arnold Classic title on two occasions: 1994 and 1996, proving that when he peaked perfectly, he could stand against anyone in the world. Widely regarded as one of the best athletes not to win the Mr. Olympia, Levrone hasn’t forgotten the lessons he learned onstage.

Life, training, and diet changed drastically for Levrone after retiring. His focus has switched to longevity and functional training. The transition went smoothly for the bodybuilding veteran. He admits that instead of pursuing heavy deadlifts and bench presses, he’s more concerned with agility and explosiveness, veering away from hypertrophy.

Fasting has also become a huge part of his current routine. He believes 48 and 72-hour fasts help rid the body of toxins. Levrone’s decision to prioritize his health comes at the perfect time. The sport has witnessed an influx of bodybuilding deaths. Arnold Schwarzenegger has labeled bodybuilding “the most dangerous sport in the world.” Even younger talents are losing their lives to heart attacks, and Pros like Levrone have taken notice.

Kevin Levrone Flaunts Shredded Physique in Retirement

In the post, Levrone showed off his latest progress:

“The world doesn’t reward the nice guys it rewards the ones that refuse to break,” shared Kevin Levrone.

Levrone’s rivals have taken inspiration from him in retirement. Bodybuilding legend and former 2008 Mr. Olympia Dexter Jackson revealed plans to get back in shape after being inspired by Levrone’s mission to sport a leaner, healthier physique. “The Blade” laid out his goal to achieve a ripped six-pack once again. He’s invited fans to witness his journey online.

Levrone hasn’t been the only decorated bodybuilding mainstay to remain in tremendous shape. Lee Labrada is still carrying that torch. He’s maintained a lean, muscular physique for over three decades, and still boasts insanely shredded quads at 65

Despite his busy schedule, Levrone has made sacrifices for a fit body in retirement. He continues to impress fans beyond the stage thanks to his commitment to long-lasting health.
