Kyle Kirvay is one of the most phenomenal figures in the entire fitness community, having reached the top level in both professional bodybuilding and powerlifting. As such, he is often regarded as the ‘World’s Strongest Bodybuilder’, even by his own count. It is definitely hard to doubt his status, especially following his recent Instagram post. Kyle shared a new 855-pound (387.8-kilogram) Raw Squat Three-Rep Personal Record, which he performed in training.
Kyle Kirvay had to load nine plates on each side of the barbell during his recent session, as he had set a goal of setting a new lifetime PR for himself. Once he was ready, Kyle put on a pair of knee sleeves, a lifting belt, and wrist wraps, thus complying with the regulations of the raw division in powerlifting.
Approaching the bar without a spotter, Kyle Kirvay was determined to achieve his goal. He walked out of the rack with the bar on his back, bracing for the lift and quickly performing two reps in succession. He then stopped for a moment to gather himself for the final rep, taking a few deep breaths and mentally preparing for the task at hand. Kyle then lowered himself to an acceptable depth by powerlifting standards and quickly shot up once again. Even after returning the bar to the rack, Kyle did not show any signs of fatigue.

Kyle Kirvay shared an interesting caption as a part of his post, revealing that he is just getting started. Moreover, he confirmed his ambitions for the future, revealing his goal of writing out new pages of history in powerlifting. Judging by his progress, Kyle is most certainly capable of setting the heaviest Raw Total ever done in a sanctioned powerlifting competition.
“History in the making. 9 plates each side, 855 lbs / 388 kg squat triple PR. Much love to all of you for being a part of my journey to represent the highest level of strength training and to become the strongest raw powerlifter of all time. 🐅 We’re just getting started,” wrote Kyle Kirvay on Instagram.
Kyle Kirvay first started in bodybuilding, where he built an incredible physique that earned him a Pro Card at the 2018 NPC Universe Championships, where he won both the Men’s Open and Classic Physique divisions. He made an appearance at the IFBB Chicago Pro two years later and finished in 16th place.
However, while pursuing his bodybuilding journey, Kyle Kirvay discovered that he had a generational talent for powerlifting. So, he continued building on his strength and eventually decided to try out powerlifting. His first appearance came at the 2022 Battle at Atilis, where he impressed everyone.
It took Kyle two years to return to the powerlifting platform, as he unfortunately suffered a leg break and had to recover. Luckily, he came back even stronger and with a greater desire for powerlifting. So, he set a new U140KG Raw All-Time Total World Record at the 2024 American Pro. Well, he is clearly preparing for another mind-blowing performance in the future.

When it comes to the bodybuilding world, Kyle Kirvay’s recent set could be best compared to Ronnie Coleman’s legendary 800-pound (362.9-kilogram) Squat for Two Reps. Kyle has added 55 pounds (25 kilograms) to the bar and performed three reps, marking a significant increase from his previous best. As such, he is definitely one of, if not the strongest professional bodybuilder in history.
