Larry Wheels’ recent post on Instagram impressed thousands of people, as he shared a mind-blowing bench press set with 405 pounds, which saw him perform 32 repetitions. This is not the first time that he has performed an AMRAP (As Many Reps As Possible) with this weight, but it is the first time that he has locked out as many reps, making it a new Personal Record for him.

Larry Wheels decided to go shirtless for his bench press set, thus showing off his insane physique and pump. He only put on a lifting belt and elbow wraps, with the purpose of preserving his joints and aiding him in the lift.

Larry Wheels prepared for the AMRAP and decided to just go for it. He did not separate the set into multiple parts, but instead quickly performed 30 repetitions without taking a second to rest. From there, Larry took a few deep breaths and locked out another rep. It was clear that the tank was running dry after that. So, he only managed to add another repetition to his tally, finishing with a total of 32.

Larry Wheels faced some backlash about his range of motion (ROM) in the comments. So, he decided to reply and even revealed that his previous 405-pound bench press AMRAP PR was 26 repetitions.

“I have done bench AMRAPS with this ROM for as long as I can remember. 26 was my all time best.”

Larry Wheels has been a whole new person since he stopped using PEDs and Steroids, and he has made it his mission to show everyone that success can be attained without them as well.

Since then, Larry Wheels has spent a long time pursuing his dream of bodybuilding, managing to build an impressive physique and get extremely shredded. In turn, he came out victorious at the 2023 NPC Ultimate Warriors and placed second at the 2023 Amateur Olympia. However, since then, Larry has seemingly dedicated a bit more time to regaining his strength.

Firstly, Larry Wheels performed a 700-pound deadlift for 21 sets of singles, and followed it up with a 400-pound four-rep PR on the Dumbbell Shoulder Press not too long after. Unfortunately, Larry then attempted a 700-pound squat for seven reps, but ended up tearing his hamstring.

After the injury, Larry Wheels once again focused more on the upper body and decided to take on Ronnie Coleman’s Iconic 200-pound dumbbell press set. However, he has also started implementing some lighter squats into his workouts, meaning that he is evidently feeling better.

Although it is currently unclear what Larry Wheels’ current goals for the future are, it seems that he has still not given up on bodybuilding, having previously talked about improving his lower body. Moreover, he recently got married, so a brand new phase of his life has started. So, with his strength back as well, Larry has the freedom to turn his career in any direction he likes.
