Ronnie Coleman has always been a freak of nature, but one of his most recognizable feats of strength was his 200-pound (90.7-kilogram) dumbbell press set of 12 repetitions. So, having always been a fan of challenges, Larry Wheels recently put himself to the test and set out to beat the mark set by Ronnie Coleman. He filmed the entire process and shared it to YouTube on January 31st.
Larry Wheels came to the gym with some strong training partners who were there in order to help him set up for the lift. They did so by allowing him to get seated on the incline bench and then handing him the humongous 200-pound (90.7-kilogram) dumbbells.
On the other hand, Larry Wheels took some precautions and put on a pair of wrist and elbow wraps, as well as a lifting belt. He then commenced his set and quickly pumped out nine reps. Only after that did Larry seem to have slowed down a bit. However, he was still able to lock out four more for a total of 13 reps.

Larry Wheels immediately addressed the range of motion that he displayed during his 13-rep 200-pound incline dumbbell press since he expected to see some comments about it. Most notably, Larry did not want to get criticized for not lowering the dumbbells completely down to his chest.

“I was very tempted to tilt it and tap my chest. But you know, that could be an inch away from a pec tear. So that was my body’s limited range of motion.”
It is clear that injury prevention is the number one priority on Larry Wheels’ list, especially since he recently suffered one in training. Luckily, it was nothing career-altering, as he walked away with a minor hamstring tear. Moreover, Larry has decided to temporarily hop on growth hormone in order to speed up the recovery.
Since then, Larry Wheels has been focusing a bit more on the upper body, completing a heavy arm workout with Brad Castleberry and now outperforming one of the strongest bodybuilders to have ever lived.
Larry Wheels also has some big goals in the sport of bodybuilding, which has been going extremely well for him as well. He has put in a lot of effort and has built an amazing physique. It resulted in a fantastic first place at the 2023 NPC Ultimate Warriors, as well as a silver medal at the 2023 Amateur Olympia.
