In just days, the greatest Women’s Bodybuilding competitors on the planet will collide in Orlando, Florida. This article breaks down and analyzes the top six contenders heading to 2023 Ms. Olympia.

Debuting back in 1980, the Ms. Olympia Bodybuilding contest quickly became one of the most talked-about attractions of the IFBB Pro League calendar. However, in 2014, the fanfare surrounding Women’s Bodybuilding was in question, which prompted the discontinuation of the contest at Olympia.

In 2020, that all changed when Rising Phoenix promoter Jake Wood assumed control of the Mr. Olympia brand and brought back the prestigious show for Women’s Bodybuilders. For the last three years, Andrea Shaw has ruled atop the division with top-tier conditioning and shape. With other standouts looming as credible threats, this year’s event isn’t one to miss.

2023 Ms. Olympia Prediction Criteria

Assessing Competitors Based on Competition Track Record

We gauge the capabilities of bodybuilders participating in the Olympia by meticulously analyzing their recent competition history, their on-stage presence, and their physical condition.

Keeping an Eye on Social Media and Training Progress

We keep a close watch on social media platforms to gain insights into the athletes’ training progress and their physical condition as they prepare for the Olympia.

Considering External Factors and Influences

Aside from that, we consider any external factors that might influence an athlete’s performance at the Olympia, including injuries, personal challenges, or health issues.

Evaluating Previous Year’s Olympia Performance

While past performance can’t guarantee success, we use an athlete’s previous Olympia results as a reference to assess their newfound potential and compare them to their competitors.

2023 Ms. Olympia Predictions — Top 6

6. Theresa Ivancik

Boasting one of the most defined V-tapers in her category, Theresa Ivancik will be in attendance eager to assert herself among the first call-out. Her capped shoulders and tight waist are some of her strongest weapons, which she’s used effectively over her latest season. Ivancik claimed third recently at the 2023 Tampa Pro and it was evident she came armed with improvements.

The Women’s Bodybuilding standout took to the 2022 Olympia stage last year where she finished seventh place. Given her consistency and shredded physique updates, we see her improving on the big stage this year.

5. Mayla Ash

Mayla Ash is back in action and ready to make a statement in Florida. She’s built considerable momentum over the past couple months. Ash took first at the 2023 Lenda Murray’s Atlanta Pro before finishing fourth at September’s Rising Phoenix event

With muscular legs and a deeply separated midsection, Ash is a dangerous foe. While she took 11th on the Ms. Olympia stage in 2022, we see her making a significant jump in the ranks, thanks to her consistency, progress, and physique updates.

4. Michaela Aycock

Aycock will aim to lock herself into the first call-out at 2023 Olympia with her signature condition, shredded hamstrings, and stage presence. Having also maintained an active 2023 schedule, Aycock recently won the Tampa Pro in her division and took third at the Rising Phoenix Arizona Pro, the second most prestigious Women’s Bodybuilding event of the year.

Given her improvements from show to show, we anticipate Aycock improving from her sixth-place Olympia showing last year. As long as her conditioning is on point, we see her shaking up the lineup when all is said and done.

3. Helle Trevino

Winning the Rising Phoenix title on multiple occasions (2017,2019) and placing second on the Ms. Olympia stage, Helle Trevino is a proven contender among the very best in the Women’s Bodybuilding category. Her balanced package complete with feathered quads and a ripped back has always made her a leader among competitors.

Despite suffering a tendon tear that required surgery last year, Trevino still ended up competing at the Ms. Olympia competition. In the face of adversity, she inspired her fans with a third-place finish. Given her perseverance, we see her holding on to that position.

2. Angela Yeo

As one of the fiercest contenders in the Women’s Bodybuilding division, Angela Yeo only seems to improve her conditioning and detail from show to show. In her last outing, fans were blown away by the package she brought to the 2023 Rising Phoenix Pro, where she pushed the reigning and defending three-time Ms. Olympia Andrea Shaw in an epic performance.

Yeo was also at last year’s Olympia showdown and took second to Shaw after an exciting battle. Given her history of success and consistency as of late, we believe Yeo will again establish herself as a top-two contender at Ms. Olympia.

1. Andrea Shaw

It wouldn’t be a Women’s Bodybuilding slugfest without the reigning and defending three-time champ Andrea Shaw. Sporting a tight waist, balanced musculature, and deep striations, Shaw has dominated while sitting atop the throne.

She doesn’t mind testing herself outside of these title defenses either. The Ms. Olympia queen recently took to her second home, the 2023 Rising Phoenix Pro, where she battled Yeo en route to collecting another title.

Last year, Shaw cemented herself as a three-time Ms. Olympia. Her devotion to training, nutrition, and the sport of bodybuilding has turned her into a star. We believe those attributes guide her to a fourth straight Ms. Olympia title on Friday, November 3.

Honorable  Mention: Chelsea Dion (5th at 2023 Rising Phoenix Pro, 9th 2022 Ms. Olympia)
