It’s finally here — the 2025 Mr. Olympia Open Bodybuilding prejudging took place on Oct. 10 at the Resorts World Theatre in Las Vegas, which began at 7:15 p.m. PDT. Mass monsters stormed the stage and battled through numerous callouts.
It’s been storylines galore heading into the 2025 Mr. Olympia. Samson Dauda seeks his first title defense, but faces a surging Derek Lunsford, who beat him at the Arnold Classic in March. Olympia runner-up Hadi Choopan has set his sights on a second victory, while Nick Walker returned following a two-year absence. His freak factor makes him the ultimate wildcard.
During prejudging, the granite density of Samson Dauda helped him stay near center stage. Derek Lunsford’s flared lats, narrow waist, and dominant back poses gave him an edge. Andrew Jacked also made a push, showcasing new lines and separation in his glutes and hamstrings. Hadi Choopan got harder as the contest went along. It’s anyone’s title heading into Saturday night’s finals!
