Strongmen are known for their abilities to crush insane amounts of food. While Hafthor Bjornsson is more of a boxer nowadays, he still knows how to get the absolute most out of a cheat day.

Cheat days are a staple of anyone who follows a diet, at a bare minimum serving to keep people motivated to follow their more strict diet plans. For strongmen like Bjornsson, we have seen time and again that these particular breed of athletes can turn a cheat day into a wild experience.

Even though Thor has retired from strongman, lost over 100lb, and is currently in the process of training for a fight with Eddie Hall that has at least $200,000 for charity on the line, he still likes to enjoy his cheat days. As he showed in a recent video on his YouTube channel, things can get intense when the former WSM champ gets free range to eat what he wants.

“I can not wait, because I’ve been super strict on my diet and I deserve this. I deserve some nice and good food,” Bjornsson said.

Crushing The Cheat Day

While the size of the meats that Hafthor Bjornsson eats during his cheat day may be daunting, he has four meals during the day. The first three are at restaurants, with him getting a hearty breakfast, as well as Tex-Mex and a sub for lunch, before bringing home a pizza for dinner.

Here is a breakdown of Thor’s cheat day meals:

Meal One:

  • Eggs
  • Pancakes
  • Bacon
  • Toast (with butter)
  • Potatoes
  • Maple Syrup
  • Orange Juice

Meal Two:

  • Burrito on a Flour Tortilla (Double Chicken, Rice, Beans, and Veggies)
  • Chips and Salsa

Meal Three:

  • Sub Sandwich (Beef, Bacon, Ham, Cheese, Fried Onion)
  • Fries
  • Milk Shake

Meal Four:

  • Pizza
  • Ice Cream

This was absolutely the right way for Hafthor Bjornsson to enjoy his cheat day, getting all of his favorite foods in as best as he can. While he has a cheat day once a week, this one was especially indulgent.

Hafthor Bjornsson Answers Your Questions

Also throughout the video, while enjoying all of his cheat day meals, Hafthor Bjornsson did something of a Q&A. Here he answered a variety of questions, some more serious than others, but here are the highlights:

What’s your wingspan?

“We’re going to check it out. I’ve never checked it out before, so I’m interested. I am 205cm tall. They say your wingspan should be the same or similar to your height… 215.5cm. Actually, I don’t know if that’s good or bad, but I think it’s okay,” Bjornsson said.

Will you keep boxing after Eddie Hall?

“I think I probably will, honestly. I’m enjoying boxing right now. Eddie’s injured right now, so I will do a boxing match before him for sure. Yeah, I’m taking this seriously. I’m really focused on boxing, I’m getting my endurance up. So who knows, I might stick around for a few years. I probably will,” Bjornsson responded.

Will you return to strongman?

“We’ll see. Never say never.”

What is your opinion on the Mountain from Game of Thrones?

“I think the guy is a pretty handsome guy, and a great actor.”

Watch the video

All in all, this was an entertaining way for Hafthor Bjornsson to spend his cheat day. It is crazy to see how much he is still able to put away, even being as lean as he is nowadays.
