Hany Rambod is an Olympia-winning coach with years of experience shaping some of the fiercest talents across the IFBB Pro League. In his latest venture, shared via YouTube on January 31, 2025, he critiqued and ranked the physique of Classic standout Wesley Vissers.
Wesley Vissers continues to make steady improvements in the Classic Physique category. In 2023, he secured seventh place at the prestigious Mr. Olympia contest and used the experience as a weapon the following year. He shocked the world at the 2024 Arnold Classic, where he defeated favorite Ramon Queiroz with superior conditioning.
He followed up the victory with another win at the Arnold Classic UK event. While he entered the last Mr. Olympia with more hype and momentum than ever before, he fell out of title contention in eighth place due to less fullness, especially in his lower body. Aiming for redemption, Vissers plans to secure a second consecutive title at the 2025 Arnold Classic but to do so, he’ll have to get past Olympia runner-up Mike Sommerfeld.

In a recent YouTube video, Rambod opened up on how Vissers can improve his front double biceps pose first. He believes adding thickness to his calves will be key to bolster his overall symmetry. Rambod suggested Vissers perform standing calf raises, seated raises, and toe raises on the leg press to bring them up.
“We’re going to go ahead and show you guys what I see in my mind’s eye when I break down someone’s physique. Let’s start off with his front double bicep. One of the things that comes to mind is how great Wesley’s arms are. He’s got bicep to tricep fullness. Again, very Arnold-esque.”
“I’m looking at the symmetry between the upper body and the lower body. His arms are so good that he would want to increase his thickness in the calves,” he explains. “The exercises for those would be standing calf raises as well as seated raises for the soleus, gastro would be standing or even doing toe raises on a leg press.”
Side Chest
As for the side chest pose, Rambod mentioned adding size to his quads so they match up with Vissers’ impressive shoulder width.
“In the side chest pose, the most impressive thing about Wesley is his shoulder width. So, he’s doing a great job posing, he’s got a great chest, fibers are popping,” said Rambod. “You’re also seeing this amazing shoulder width.”
“Same thing is happening here as in the front double bicep. Just not quite as wide as he can be here to be able to match up with that shoulder width. So what we need is we need to have him get a little bit fuller in that quad, that outer quad here.
To effectively build the outer sweep of the quads, Rambod recommended Vissers practice front squats, narrow hack squats, and narrow leg press sets.
“Again, what I would have him doing is probably more of the front squats. I would have narrow hack squats, narrow leg press to be able to really focus on being able to build out those legs, especially on that outer sweep.”
Back Double Bicep
Again, Rambod urged Vissers to improve his calves to match the symmetry of his dominant upper body.
“I’m going to give this five stars. This is five stars. Amazing, amazing back. Honestly, I think this is an amazing pose for him. What can we improve on though? Again, as we go down to the lower body, calves need a little bit of help. You need to fill them up to match the symmetry of the upper body, especially the arms.”
In addition, he advised ‘The Dutch Oak’ to build up the quads and hamstrings further to empower his back double bicep.
“We want to be able to keep building up those quads, building up the hamstrings, we want to fill this area in so that we can match up to the upper body. That lower body upper body needs some extra symmetry,” he shared.
Most Muscular
Rambod described Vissers’ most muscular pose as a knockout shot, which served as one of his best.
“Honestly, great great shot on him. I think he looks amazing. I think this is one of his knockout shots. Obviously, cannot forget how big those traps are.”
“Wesley crushes on this pose but one of the things I do want to let you know is that, again, this was not his best. I believe he’s going to come in more detailed. I’m looking forward to seeing him at the Arnold Classic in the next five weeks.”
The Rating
Out of 10, Rambod ranked Vissers’ physique a solid 7.8.
“I’m going to give it 1-10 Sandows. Ten Sandows being exceptional Mr. Olympia. I give Wesley Vissers in the 2024 Olympia, 7.8 Sandows.”
Having trained legends of the sport like Phil Heath and Jay Cutler, learning lessons from Rambod carries substantial weight. Should Vissers implement these recommendations and advice, he’ll stand an even better chance of success at the 2025 Arnold Classic.
