Less than six weeks remain until the 2026 Mr. Olympia returns to Las Vegas, Nevada. In an August 16 YouTube video, Hany Rambod offered Wesley Vissers tips to improve his chest fullness before stepping back onstage.
Vissers is one of the most popular Classic Physique competitors to compete in the IFBB Pro League. Many consider him a future Olympia winner given his conditioning and similarities to bodybuilding legend Arnold Schwarzenegger.
In 2025, Vissers fell short of expectations. He landed in fifth place at the Arnold Classic and then narrowly lost to Matt Greggo at the Detroit Pro. The setbacks pushed him to make major improvements in the off-season, particularly to his lower body.
Thus far, the changes have produced results. Vissers won the 2026 Arnold Classic and claimed silver at the Arnold UK against Mike Sommerfeld. Aiming to win the sport’s greatest title, Vissers is taking tips from the best.
The Workout Wesley Vissers Is Using to Boost His Chest Fullness for 2026 Olympia
Find the exercises from the video below:
- Chest Fly
- Incline Dumbbell Chest Press
- Overhead Triceps Extension
- Single-Arm Cable Lateral Raise + Lying Dumbbell Front Raise
- Skullcrushers
Chest Fly
During the video, Rambod broke down the challenge of achieving inner chest striations versus the outer chest:
“As the blood continues to keep flowing through the chest, you can see even more detail, even in his outer chest versus earlier in the week, where only his inner chest was getting striated due to the fullness.”
Incline Dumbbell Chest Press
The 25-time Olympia-winning coach had Vissers rest for 2-3 minutes on the incline dumbbell chest press.
“Rest at least two to three minutes. Again, sip, take your aminos; I’m very, very big into taking those essential amino acids intra-workout, and I’m sure you already have that and some hydration possibly in there.”
He explained that it’s best to give the heart rate a chance to recover in between sets to avoid fatigue:
“If you don’t give yourself ample time to catch your heart rate and bring it down, you’re going to end up getting taxed cardiovascularly. We’re trying to go to failure, not fatigue.”
Overhead Triceps Extension
Next, Vissers practiced triceps extensions, where he aimed for failure.
Single-Arm Cable Lateral Raise + Lying Front Raise
In between cable lateral raise and front raise sets, Phil Heath offered Vissers advice to give him the mental edge onstage:
“You can be intimidating to these other dudes. The quality of the chest, shoulders, and the arms, of course, and now the legs have come up and your back… I’m sure Hany will tell you just the posing and a tweak here and there, and just the demeanor, they got to fear you,” Phil Heath explained.
Skullcrushers
For their final exercise, Rambod guided Vissers through his ‘push back’ skullcrusher variation, which he believes can add more tension and stretch to each repetition.
“We’re going to do a variant that I’m very fond of, which is the push back method. The way you do that is you’re going to go like a basic skullcrusher, hands come back down, but elbows come back down and you’re going to push the handle to my hand, and then you do a squeeze at the very top.”
“Again, it’s a bit of a different angle to create a bit more tension and a bit more stretch because it doesn’t stop at your forehead,” said Hany Rambod.
Vissers hasn’t been shy about his expectations heading into Vegas. He predicted that he’d make the first callout alongside Sommerfeld, Terrence Ruffin, Niall Darwen, and the reigning champion Ramon ‘Dino’ Queiroz. In addition, Vissers claimed he’d win the Classic Physique Olympia title within three years.
Taking tips from Rambod, Vissers plans to present a dominant package when he makes his way back to the Olympia. Fitness Volt will have live coverage of the prestigious event, set for September 24-27 in Sin City.
