Excitement is building as the sport’s greatest athletes prepare for the 60th anniversary of the Mr. Olympia, which will take place this October 10-13 in Las Vegas, Nevada, and Hunter Labrada is among them. In a recent Instagram post shared on September 30, 2024, Labrada showcased a ripped physique just ten days ahead of the prestigious event and promised that his midsection would be improved.
Hunter Labrada has massive shoes to fill as he attempts to recreate the legacy set by his father, Lee Labrada. While Lee Labrada never secured the Sandow trophy, he finished within the top four at the Mr. Olympia for seven consecutive years. Now, Hunter Labrada is adapting the knowledge passed down to him and is looking to establish himself in the sport’s history as one of the most successful bodybuilders to step foot on stage.
Hunter Labrada has placed outside the top five in three out of his last four attempts at the marquee show. Considering his history at the Mr. Olympia, this is now prompting doubt in veterans of the sport, especially after seeing his performance on the 2024 Promuscle Italy Pro, leaving legends, such as Jay Cutler and Milos Sarcev, unable to place him above Nick Walker in their Olympia predictions.
Hunter Labrada Promises Improvements at 2024 Mr. Olympia, Shows Off Ripped Physique Update at 263 Lbs
Feeling the pressure, Hunter Labrada is focused on improving his midsection before taking to the Olympia stage in just under two weeks. Labrada recently shared a physique update on Instagram, showing off his shredded physique and while he revealed he is tipping the scales at 263 pounds, Hunter Labrada made it clear that his weight isn’t the priority.

“Checking in from #CampChow @ 263 pounds 💪🏻( don’t give a shit about my weight tbh, we’re just pushing for peeled, people always ask though🤷🏻♂️)” said Hunter.
Labrada also shared that he is enjoying his prep and is looking forward to flaunting the improvements he has made since appearing on the Promuscle Italy Pro stage.
“Pushing HARD right now, and having the time of my life doing it with @squatlikechow and @carlosphilbrick 🙌🏻”
“Excited to show the progress/refinements that were going to be able to present in just 5 weeks time between Italy and the ⭕️. Midsection will be significantly better, I’ll be more dug out, and presentation will be on point👊🏻”
With his eye on the prize, Hunter Labrada is determined to secure a higher ranking at the 2024 Mr. Olympia than he did the year prior. Between guest posing at the 2024 Lee Labrada Classic and his win at the Promuscle Italy Pro, Labrada can zero in on what needs to be improved such as his midsection before finally taking the stage this October.
Hunter Labrada isn’t just putting in the hard work at the gym but also in the kitchen. In the last few weeks, Labrada shared a glimpse of his diet, taking his dedication to the next level by locking his pantry to ensure he doesn’t cheat during his prep with his daughter’s snacks. He’s also corrected gut health issues that plagued previous preps throughout his career.
There are less than two weeks before the 2024 Mr. Olympia takes over Las Vegas, Nevada, and Hunter Labrada is bringing his A-game to the Men’s Open stage. Fans look forward to seeing the improvements he has made to his physique in just 10 days. Make sure to follow us here at Fitness Volt to stay up to date on all the action!
