Mass monster Michal Krizo is on track for a statement performance in less than one week. In a YouTube video from May 6, Milos Sarcev shared why Krizo’s shoulders and arms make him a strong favorite to win the 2026 New York Pro.
In 2025, Krizo bounced back from a shoulder injury, securing fifth place at the Pittsburgh Pro. This test-run led him to last year’s New York Pro. He ultimately placed third behind William Bonac and champion, Nick Walker. Staying active, Krizo picked up his 2026 Olympia qualification early, thanks to a dominant victory at the ESN British Grand Prix Pro.
From full days of eating to training sessions with fellow Open stars, Krizo has taken complete control of his preparations. His physique updates have the bodybuilding community talking, prompting Sarcev to discuss his chances at the third most-celebrated show of the season.
Milos Sarcev Gives Posing Advice to Krizo, Says He Has ‘Very Good Chance to Win’ 2026 New York Pro
In the YouTube video, Sarcev was confident that Krizo is at his all-time best heading into New York. To improve his presentation, he warned Krizo about stomach control and breathing.
“Now, he’s at his all-time best. What is missing always? Presentation. He comes on the stage, and he looks like he has to look at his body when he does pose, right? And forgets about the stomach and cannot last two or three rounds. So, if Michal is listening right, you just need to control your breathing and stomach.”
He added that Krizo deserves to be the favorite and brought his legs up to match his dominant upper body.
“He should be a favorite going into that show,” said Sarcev. “He has a very good chance to win, if he shows the abs, his legs are bigger now.”
“Krizo is super dangerous because of his crazy shoulders and crazy arms. I think those are the best arms in bodybuilding now.”
It won’t be an easy road to the top of the podium. Krizo has to get through notable Men’s Open threats, like Brazilian star Rafael Brandao. He finished sixth at the 2026 Arnold Classic and is eager for a bounce-back performance. Meanwhile, former 2019 Mr. Olympia Brandon Curry is in the mix. His symmetry, completeness, and shredded midsection only strengthen his chances among the judges.
In addition, Tonio Burton is preparing diligently. He recently showed off his conditioning levels in a physique update. Even coach Chris Aceto has emphasized that Burton is the ‘best overall bodybuilder’ in the lineup.
Sarcev thinks Krizo’s chances of winning the New York Pro are high due to his crazy shoulders and arms. The contest takes place May 8-9 in Teaneck, New Jersey.
