2022 Olympia Dates Announced

Chief Olympia officer Dan Solomon has shared a video on Instagram revealing the dates and location for 2022 Mr. Olympia, which will take place on the weekend of December 15, and run until Dec. 18 in 2022.

On Dec. 10, 2021, Dan Solomon published a video on Instagram detailing some pertinent information about the upcoming 2022 Mr. Olympia. Following 2021 Mr. Olympia, it was announced the location would switch back to Las Vegas. Of course, this came after the organization opted to have their venue move to Florida for 2020, and 2021 because of Coronavirus restrictions affecting regions of Nevada.

Dates For 2022 Mr. Olympia Revealed By Dan Solomon

In the Instagram video, Dan Solomon explained how excited he was for the upcoming 2022 Mr. Olympia as the event will return to its home state of Nevada. The plan he describes sounds quite exciting with imagination and creativity emphasized as part of his mission statement for the show.

“So when I come out here to Vegas, one of the things that I really love to do is, I love taking walks on the strip. And I usually do it alone, because it has a way of stimulating all sorts of creative energy and imagination and all the things that we like to infuse into our Olympia weekend experience.”

“For those of you who haven’t heard, the Olympia weekend in 2022 will be right here in Las Vegas, at the Planet Hollywood. The weekend of December 15, 16th, 17th, and 18th. I gotta be honest with you guys. The things we have planned are going to absolutely blow your mind. And we are out here laying the groundwork for some things that are going to move this sport forward in ways that we are very proud to do.” Dan Solomon said.

There are 11 professional divisions that compete at the Olympia in total. Bodybuilders are already attempting to earn their coveted spot at the event. Positions to compete at Olympia can be earned by winning various competitions/tournaments or by placing in the top 3-5 at a previous Mr. Olympia event.

“Our own, Jake Wood, producer, Tamer, and John, our entire team, we are just really excited to do what we can, to make you all proud to be a part of this great industry, the bodybuilding community, the fitness industry, and of course, this tremendous lifestyle that we all embrace. Solomon continued. And we are going to be back here in December. I just got word that the room block at Planet Hollywood has just gone on sale you can go to MrOlympia.com and you can secure those discounted room rates at Planet Hollywood for Dec 2022.”

Both times Mr. Olympia entered the Sunshine State, Big Ramy took home gold. The men’s Open Division crowns the official Mr. Olympia title and there are already twelve men qualified to make an appearance.
