The 2022 Mr. Olympia competition is going down this weekend and 11 bodybuilders will be crowned champion at the sport’s most prestigious event of the year. Bikini competitors took to the stage during prejudging on Saturday morning (December 17, 2022).
Over 50 athletes were qualified to compete at 2022 Olympia in Bikini. At last year’s show, a new champion was crowned after 2020 winner Janet Layug opted not to compete. In the end, Jennifer Dorie emerged victorious as the 2021 Bikini Olympia champ and is aiming to defend her title for the first time this weekend.
In addition to Layug coming back this year, 2019 Bikini Olympia champion Elisa Pecini intends recapture the title. Meanwhile contenders from 2021 Olympia in former three-time Bikini Olympia Ashley Kaltwasser (2013,2014,2015), Maureen Blanquisco and Daraja Hill all brought impressive looks in the early-goings of the competition.
After a total of seven long callouts, the judges rendered a top 4 during Bikini prejudging. Reigning champion Jennifer Dorie looked incredible and so did former three-time Bikini Olympia Ashley Kaltwasser. Additionally, contenders Maureen Blanquisco and Daraja Hill asserted themselves into title contention with finals taking place later tonight.
