The 2023 Arnold Classic saw 10 of the world’s best Men’s Open competitors battle for gold, bragging rights, and a massive $300,000 check. In the end, Samson Dauda claimed first place and won his first Arnold Classic title.
On Friday, March 4, competitors from the Open class took to the stage in Columbus, Ohio for prejudging. During this portion of the contest, fans were excited to see several comparisons, which featured favorites like Walker, Mamdouh ‘Big Ramy’ Elssbiay, Samson Dauda, Shaun Clarida, William Bonac, and Andrew Jacked.
The entire Men’s Open lineup gathered on stage again Saturday night from 7 P.M. to 10 P.M. to render a new Arnold Classic champion. Brandon Curry, a former two-time winner of the show, opted to improve during the off-season instead of aiming for a third AC honor.
Following an intense series of callouts during prejudging and finals, Samson Dauda, Nick Walker, and Andrew Jacked asserted themselves as title contenders. The freaky compact muscle and thin skin of Walker made his posing routine especially entertaining. Jacked and Dauda also presented some of their best looks to date. By night’s end, Samson Dauda claimed the 2023 Arnold Classic Open Bodybuilding title. In addition, Nick Walker took runner-up and Andrew Jacked finished third.
