Reigning Mr. Olympia Samson Dauda is keeping his training routine fresh heading into his title defense. On August 27, 2025, he teamed up with Quinton Eriya and Andrea Presti for a hardcore arms workout less than seven weeks from hitting the stage.

“We’re officially less than seven and a half weeks out from the Olympia,” Dauda said.

Last year, Samson Dauda defeated Hadi Choopan and Derek Lunsford to become the 19th Mr. Olympia champion. Instead of sitting out, he opted to compete in March at the 2025 Arnold Classic. Despite being the favorite, Dauda took second place behind Derek Lunsford, who nailed his peak, presenting arguably his best leg and back definition.

With the Mr. Olympia coming up fast, Dauda employed a superset-focused training session to add size, width, and detail to his arms. By performing two exercises back-to-back, Dauda can reduce his workout time and burn extra calories, helping him shred down for October.

During the workout, Dauda gave Presti some form pointers during preacher curls for a better squeeze.

“That outer head, that’s why we always see and feel, you feel that head squeeze and you focus on that part of the arm,” shared Dauda.

Dauda has been working alongside Eriya in the lead-up to his title defense. “Beastwood” has enjoyed a big season in 2025, earning second place at the Tampa Pro and third place at the Texas Pro. The ProMuscle Italy Pro is another Olympia qualifier, where Men’s Open stars will have another shot at earning their passage.

Presti has also picked up momentum after claiming silver at the IFBB Huanji China Pro 2 and at the Flex Weekend Italy Pro show. The qualification window for the 2025 Mr. Olympia is closing fast — competitors have until September 14 to secure invites.

Dauda will face a who’s who of bodybuilding talent when he makes his way back to the Mr. Olympia. Unlike the last two years, he’ll have to contend with Nick Walker and other rising stars, such as debutants Rubiel “Neckzilla” Mosquera and Ugolnikov “Good Vito” Vitalii. Don’t miss the 2025 Mr. Olympia when it returns to Las Vegas, Nevada, from October 9-12.
