The excitement is building ahead of the World’s Ultimate Strongman (WUS) contest that is scheduled to take place September 17-18 in Dubai, United Emirates (UAE). Initially, the event was set to go down in Las Vegas, Nevada. However, the location was changed to Jacksonville, Florida last month, but due to concerns about the global health crisis, Dubai seemed like a better option.
There will be 13 Strongmen and 8 Strongwomen who will throw down in several events.
Below we’ve included the details for events and athlete lineup.
Note: We’ve included three events and there should be a few more, however, we could not find sufficient information at the time of writing this article. We will be sure to update when we have more details.

The competition is fierce this year with champions and top contenders returning for battle.
On the men’s side, 2020 World’s Strongest Man and 2021 WUS Strength Island champion Oleksii Novikov, 4x World’s Strongest Man Zydrunas Savickas, 2019 WUS champion Mateusz Kieliszkowski, and many other top Strongmen will take part in the events.

A little history on WUS
For those who don’t know, the World’s Ultimate Strongman competition started in 2018 with Strongman icon Hafthor Bjornsson of Iceland winning the event.
Poland’s Mateusz Kieliszkowski took first place in 2019 and then due to the Covid situation, the 2020 WUS competition was postponed, although there were various events as part of the World’s Ultimate Strongman.
A new champion will be crowned this year for the men and for the women, whoever wins will become the first women’s champion in the event’s history.
WUS Schedule and How To Watch
The WUS event will take place over the course of one day. The Strongwomen competition will open the show at 7 A.M. EST (3 P.M. GST). Then the men will take over after a half-hour intermission.
The event will be streamed on CoreSports.world and will be free to watch.
While many are looking forward to watching the best Strongmen and Strongwomen compete for bragging rights, there’s more to look forward to following the 2021 World’s Ultimate Strongman.
On September 18, 2021, Retired multiple-time Strongman champ Hafthor Bjornsson will be facing legendary arm wrestler Devon Larratt in a boxing bout. Originally, “Thor” was scheduled to face his foe and fellow Strongman competitor and champion Eddie Hall.
However, “The Beast” suffered a bicep tear and the fight will have to take place at another date.
