Martin Fitzwater and Keone Pearson are two of the hottest names in the IFBB Pro League. On January 29, 2025, they teamed up for a grueling hamstring-focused leg workout as they continue to refine their physiques ahead of their next competitions.
Martin Fitzwater’s popularity has exploded, thanks to a string of jaw-dropping performances. In 2024, he laid claim to gold at the Detroit Pro. While he secured his Olympia qualification, he chose to gamble by squaring off against Nick Walker at the New York Pro. Although he came in second place behind ‘The Mutant,’ many fans and bodybuilders believe he could have won.
When the pressure was at its highest at the Mr. Olympia, Fitzwater thrived. He took fourth place in his debut on the Olympia stage, even giving Derek Lunsford a run for his money throughout the finals. If that wasn’t enough, Fitzwater took on Chris Bumstead at the 2024 EVLS Prague Pro, where he secured gold in a stunning display. This cemented his passage for the 2025 Mr. Olympia.
Meanwhile, Keone Pearson continues to redefine what is possible in the Men’s 212 Bodybuilding category. He displayed some of the most powerful aesthetics of any division to secure his second consecutive 212 Olympia title against former two-time champion Shaun Clarida. Enjoying a ‘health phase,’ he plans to make steady improvements before his next title defense.

Bodybuilders Martin Fitzwater & Keone Pearson Team Up to Crush Leg Workout
In a recent YouTube video, Fitzwater and Pearson teamed up to push through a brutal hamstring and glute-focused leg day workout.
Find their exercise selections below:
- Standing Leg Curls
- Adductors
- Lying Hamstring Curls
- Seated Leg Curls
- RDL Machine
- Leg Press
Standing Leg Curls
Pearson discussed his contest schedule and traveling obligations to kick off the workout.
“Just Olympia this year. I have so much travel going on this year. Starting now I really won’t have time to compete. So, just want to really focus on creating distance right now in the 212. Plus in the 212, you still need a little bit more height man [for Open], and I don’t want to just leave.”
“I still have improvements that I want to make,” he adds.
Adductors
During sets on the adductor machine, Pearson revealed if he likes yelling throughout a workout for extra motivation.
“My training is calm. I don’t mind the yelling but I don’t need that anymore. It’s so calm, I can do the same weight, the same intensity without getting all rowdy now. That’s kind of how I am when I train,” says Pearson.
Lying Hamstring Curls
Fitzwater shared that Pearson is the first 212 competitor he’s trained with.
“I’ve never trained with Shaun. I was supposed to train legs with him one time for something and he didn’t fly in that day or some shit,” explains Fitzwater.
Seated Leg Curls
Fitzwater and Pearson discussed who else has held the 212 Olympia title for a long time outside of former seven-time champion Flex Lewis.
“I’m going for three [titles],” said Pearson.
“Before Flex, was there anyone that held the title for a very long time, or was it kind of handed around?” asks Fitzwater.
“No,” replied Pearson. “Flex had it the most.”
RDL Machine
Fitzwater shared that this training session was geared toward working the hamstrings and glutes most.
“Nice and pumped, hamstrings are full. Defintiely the hamstrings are starting to get tired now for sure. This is a little more hamstring and glutes.”
Leg Press
During their final exercise, Fitzwater revealed that he was tipping the scale at almost 270 pounds.
“I’m almost 270. I was 267 this morning I think,” said Fitzwater. “I’ve been 270 once before this but this is by far the biggest I’ve ever been and the leanest.”
While ‘The Prodigy’ won’t compete before the Mr. Olympia in 2025, the same cannot be said for Fitzwater. ‘The Martian’ plans to dominate the Pittsburgh Pro in May, where he’ll rematch Nick Walker in a heated battle for supremacy.
Judging by their latest workout collaboration, both athletes are in a powerful position to enjoy success this season. Don’t miss their next performances on stage!
