It’s grow season for Classic Physique standout Matt Greggo. In a recent YouTube video shared on May 29, 2025, he showed off a full day of eating as he aims to add size before stepping back on the Mr. Olympia stage in October.
“We’re trying to get big right now, trying to get swole, trying to get fuc**ng yolked. That’s what I’m trying to do in my off-season.”
Greggo had a breakout performance at the 2025 Arnold Classic. For a second, it looked like he was en route to bagging gold. However, he settled for bronze, giving runner-up Logan Franklin and champion Mike Sommerfeld a run for their money. It was a telling performance for Greggo, as he managed to place ahead of former champion Wesley Vissers.
He competed against Vissers again at the stacked Detroit Pro and emerged victorious. This triumph cemented his ticket to the 2025 Mr. Olympia. Classic Physique competitors like Greggo are in a unique position moving forward: Chris Bumstead retired from the sport, leaving the throne up for grabs later this year.

‘Trying to Get Fuc**ng Yolked’ – Matt Greggo Shares 2025 Off-Season Full Day of Eating
Find his complete meals for the day below, which were featured in his latest YouTube video:
Meal 1
- 2 Oikos Triple Zero Greek Yogurt
- 110 grams Cream of Rice Vanilla Pastry Cream
- 75 grams of Blueberries
Greggo starts his day with a mixture of yogurt, cream of rice, and blueberries.
“19 to 20 weeks out or some shit till the Olympia,” he shared.
Meal 2
- 170 grams of chicken
- 200 grams of white rice
- 10 grams of fat from olive oil
- 10 oz of apple juice
- 2 slices of bread
- strawberry jelly
For his pre-workout meal, Greggo enjoyed chicken, rice, and two slices of bread with strawberry jelly slathered on top.
“This is the pre-meal. If I had to do a guestimate in my head, maybe like 125 carbs for pre-workout.”
Meal 3
- Tuna Sandwich from Jersey Mike’s
- Diet Root Beer
After his chest workout, Greggo refueled his glycogen stores with a Jersey Mike’s tuna sub sandwich.
“98 percent of people don’t do this but if you’re the two percent that get away with it, do a couple meals pre-workout clean, then at night, well it’s not night time yet, but it’s getting darker. My logic is that calories don’t exist in the evening,” said Greggo. “I never realized the calories on these things… 2,000!”
Meal 4
- 4 donuts (Blue donut, Strawberry Sprinkles, Glazed Cinnamon)
When late-night sugar cravings hit, Greggo made a pit stop at the Wawa gas station for donuts.
Meal 5
- 2 Oikos Triple Zero Greek Yogurt
- 110 grams Cream of Rice Vanilla Pastry Cream
- 75 grams of Blueberries
- 2 Pop Tarts
He explained that his goal in the off-season is to take in 265-275 grams of protein along with carbs and fats during his ‘grow time.’
“We had five meals today. Obviously, in prep I do six, but right now I’m finally doing five. My goal is to shoot for 265-275 grams of protein right now, a lot of carbs, a lot of fat. That’s just what I’m doing right now since it’s grow time.”
Total Macros
- Calories: 6,179
- Protein: 261 grams
- Carbs: 772 grams
- Fats: 231 grams
Greggo is on a mission to become the new Classic Physique Olympia champion when the event makes its return. With his goal of adding size during the off-season, he believes this will translate to a bigger and more refined look onstage.
The 2025 Mr. Olympia heads back to Vegas from October 9-12, where Dan Solomon has promised historic prize money. If that’s not enough motivation, retired champion Chris Bumstead has teased increasing the Classic prize money on the horizon.
