Could this be the year Nick Walker triumphs in the Men’s Open division and earns the prestigious Mr. Olympia title? In a recent Instagram post shared on September 22, 2024, Walker revealed he is confident that not only will he be able to defeat the current champion, Derek Lunsford, but also Hadi Choopan, Samson Dauda, and anyone else who takes the stage this October.
There are just under three weeks before the 60th anniversary of Mr. Olympia takes over Las Vegas, Nevada, this October 10-13, and the pressure is on for the athletes to prove they are the best of the best. At the top, the Men’s Open division has a stacked lineup of talents all vying to be crowned the Mr. Olympia.
Bodybuilder Nick Walker Confident Weeks from the 2024 Mr. Olympia: “I’m Coming to Take Everybody Out”
For Nick Walker, the 2024 Mr. Olympia is his chance at redemption after being sidelined days before last year’s event due to a hamstring and calf tear. He is determined not to let anything stand in his way this year as he prepares to go head-to-head with not only the current Mr. Olympia, Derek Lunsford, who became a two-division champion as Walker watched alongside the audience, but he will also face former 2022 Mr. Olympia Hadi Choopan, and number three in the world Samson Dauda. Not to mention dark horse Andrew Jacked, who won a third title at the Texas Pro, is aiming to turn in his best performance of all time.
Despite going up against the sport’s finest, Nick Walker is confident he has what it takes to beat them all and walk away with the prestigious title as the new 2024 Mr. Olympia champion.

“Listen, at the end of the day, they are all great competitors but I’m coming to take everybody out” Walker said.
While there is much to be said about having self-assurance, Nick Walker needs more than confidence to pull out the win come October 10-13. After his display at the 2024 New York Pro, having narrowly slid into first place by only one point, fans are unsure if he can fine-tune his physique enough to beat the likes of Lunsford, Choopan, and Dauda.
Even bodybuilding legend Jay Cutler has become dubious of whether Nick Walker can make it into the top three, when earlier this year, he believed Walker could win the 2024 Mr. Olympia. However, Nick Walker isn’t letting the doubters get in his way. In fact, he recently shared that he thrives most when he is being counted out.
“So I get it. But, I don’t know how many times I got to continue to prove myself. I mean, I’ve already solidified that but I don’t mind being the underdog. I don’t mind being counted out. Again, that’s where I thrive the most. So, come stage, come eight weeks, I guess everyone will see once again,” Walker shared.
“Keep counting me out, I love it”
No one is safe come October 10-13, when bodybuilding’s best take the stage in Las Vegas, Nevada, for the 60th anniversary of the Mr. Olympia. Time will only tell who will emerge as the 2024 champion.
