How These Rankings Are Calculated
Rankings use the DOTS (Goodlift) formula adopted by the IPF in 2019. DOTS divides the competition total by a bodyweight coefficient, producing a single score that accounts for the mechanical advantage larger athletes have. Higher scores represent better pound-for-pound performance.
Rankings are built from the OpenPowerlifting database, covering 3.84 million entries across hundreds of federations worldwide. Only competition results with a recorded bodyweight and total are included. Lifters appear in the Raw or Equipped list based on their best single performance in that division.
Each lifter is ranked by their single best DOTS score across all competitions in the selected division. Raw and Equipped lists are independent. Historical performances are included regardless of era or federation affiliation.
