Roelly Winklaar is turning heads once again thanks to his freak factor. In Instagram posts shared on October 15-16, he showed off his massive arms during a workout and while posing with IFBB Pro Hunter Labrada.
Winklaar earned a reputation in bodybuilding, standing out for his impressive triceps complete with density and definition. The Dutch Beast’s experience competing on the Mr. Olympia stage 10 times is a testament to how strong a competitor the Curaçaoan/Dutch native was.
At the height of his career, Roelly Winklaar went toe-to-toe with the late Shawn Rhoden in the first callout at the 2018 Mr. Olympia. Ultimately, he placed third in the competition while also earning the first-ever Olympia People’s Champ Award, further cementing his place in the sport’s history.
Unfortunately, as the years progressed, fans noticed that Winklaar had downsized his physique, which led to speculation about him leaving the sport or possibly retiring. However, Roelly Winklaar shared that he had been unable to train properly due to an injury, which accounted for his loss of mass.
Winklaar underwent a five-hour shoulder surgery, revealing afterward that he was unsure about his future in the sport. During a podcast with Dennis James, Roelly Winklaar made it clear that he wasn’t officially retired, but if he were to make a comeback, he’d be more cautious.
