The 61st Joe Weider’s Olympia Fitness & Performance Weekend, featuring the 2025 Mr. Olympia, concluded in spectacular fashion from October 9–12 in Las Vegas, NV, with Derek Lunsford dethroning Samson Dauda to reclaim the Mr. Olympia throne.

Lunsford’s stunning victory earned him $600,000 and the coveted Sandow trophy, completing his remarkable 2025 campaign that included wins at the Arnold Classic and Pittsburgh Pro.

The 2025 Olympia distributed a record-breaking $2 million prize pool across 11 professional divisions, with each category showcasing the pinnacle of physical development.

From the mass monsters of Men’s Open to the aesthetic artistry of Classic Physique, from the conditioning of Women’s Physique to the balanced beauty of Bikini, every division crowned champions who represent peak human form.

The weekend delivered both dynasties’ extended and new eras beginning.

Andrea Shaw captured her sixth consecutive Ms. Olympia title, solidifying her place among the all-time greats. Ramon Rocha Queiroz claimed the vacant Classic Physique throne following Chris Bumstead’s retirement. Ryan Terry three-peated in Men’s Physique, while Keone Pearson successfully defended his 212 title against Shaun Clarida.

2025 Olympia Winners

The 2025 Mr. Olympia delivered one of the most dramatic upsets as Derek Lunsford reclaimed the Sandow trophy, joining Jay Cutler as only the second bodybuilder ever to regain the title after surrendering it.

The victory completed Lunsford’s remarkable 2025 sweep, adding the Olympia crown to his Arnold Classic and Pittsburgh Pro victories earlier this year – something he has termed the ‘Triple Crown.’

In a shocking turn of events, defending champion Samson Dauda tumbled from first to fourth place, continuing the Men’s Open division’s era of instability that has seen a different winner every year since 2021.

Dauda appeared to be in the lead in the prejudging round on Friday, but Derek Lunsford turned the tables on Saturday night.

Lunsford’s unique physique – featuring round, full muscle bellies that create an unmistakable 3D aesthetic – separated him from the field when it mattered most.

Remarkably, MC Bob Cicherillo revealed during the winner’s interview that Lunsford battled illness during the individual posing round, strategically going after Dauda in the lineup to buy recovery time. Despite this, he rallied to present an undeniable package that earned him the $600,000 top prize.

Hadi Choopan secured the runner-up position and claimed the People’s Choice Award, continuing his remarkable consistency at bodybuilding’s highest level. The 2022 champion brought his signature combination of granite conditioning, perfect balance, and impressive size.

Andrew Jacked delivered a career-defining performance to claim bronze, surging from his fifth-place finish in 2024. The crowd witnessed a transformed competitor – fired up and confident in a way never before seen from the typically reserved athlete.

Martin Fitzwater rounded out the top five, maintaining his consistency from 2024.

  • Winner — Derek Lunsford (600,000)
  • Second Place — Hadi Choopan ($200,000)
  • Third Place — Andrew Jacked ($100,000)

212 Olympia

212 Winners

The 212 Olympia delivered an intense battle as Keone Pearson successfully defended his title against a resurgent Shaun Clarida, continuing their rivalry that has defined the division since 2022.

Shaun Clarida arrived with arguably the most impressive physique of his career, immediately commanding attention as he took the stage. His front and back lat spread poses overpowered all the other athletes in the lineup, displaying the grainy, diced density that has become his trademark.

However, the crowd went absolutely berserk as soon as Keone Pearson hit his first pose. His superior muscle fullness, refined definition, flawless symmetry, and enviable X-frame separated him from the pack.

While Clarida brought freaky conditioning and density, Pearson countered with genetic gifts and perfect proportions that judges couldn’t deny. His polished posing routine further emphasized his structural advantages, showcasing why he’s considered one of the most naturally gifted athletes in the division.

Though the 212 division is now defined by an intense rivalry between these champions, Pearson has established his dominance with consecutive victories.

  • Winner — Keone Pearson ($50,000)
  • Second Place — Shaun Clarida ($20,000)
  • Third Place —  Lucas Garcia ($12,000)
  • Fourth Place — Nihat Kaya ($7,000)
  • Fifth Place —  Courage Opara ($6,000)
  • Sixth Place — Kerrith Bajjo
  • Seventh Place — Francisco Barrios Vlk

The Classic Physique Olympia crowned Ramon Rocha “Dino” Queiroz as its new champion, marking the dawn of a new era following Chris Bumstead’s retirement after six consecutive titles.

The emotional victory brought the Las Vegas crowd to their feet, literally jumping as Queiroz’s name was announced after years of near misses as the division’s perennial bridesmaid.

Queiroz, Mike Sommerfeld, and Terrence Ruffin emerged from prejudging as the clear top three, maintaining their positions through the finals confirmation round in what became a tightly contested battle for the vacant throne.

The Brazilian champion’s victory came with a historic $100,000 prize — double the previous year’s amount — reflecting the division’s growing prestige.

What separated Queiroz in the finals was his dramatic improvement in both conditioning and presentation. He visibly tightened up between prejudging and finals, with muscle definition and striations becoming more pronounced under the lights.

Mike Sommerfeld’s journey to the silver medal was marked by extraordinary circumstances. Controversy surrounded his weigh-in when he needed to drop 14 pounds in a couple of days to make the 204-pound limit.

Remarkably, this dramatic cut may have worked in his favor, as the rapid weight loss enhanced his striations and muscle definition to new levels. Despite these improvements and enhanced posing, he had to settle for the $40,000 second-place prize.

Terrence Ruffin’s bronze medal marked a successful comeback after taking 2024 off to regroup following his fifth-place finish in 2023.

  • Winner — Ramon Rocha Queiroz ($100,000)
  • Second Place —  Mike Sommerfeld ($40,000)
  • Third Place —  Terrence Ruffin ($20,000)
  • Fourth Place — Josema Munoz ($10,000)
  • Fifth Place —  Niall Darwen ($6,000)
  • Sixth Place — Diego Galindo
  • Seventh Place — Matheus Menegate
  • Eighth Place — Michael Daboul
  • Ninth Place — Justin Badurina
  • Tenth Place — Matthew Greggo

The Men’s Physique Olympia showcased a clash of champions as Ryan Terry successfully defended his title against a field that included four former Olympia winners, cementing his third consecutive victory in one of the division’s most competitive showdowns. This win also made him the third British athlete to win a gold medal this weekend.

Terry arrived in peak condition, displaying the razor-sharp conditioning that has become his trademark. The British champion’s physique appeared more refined than ever, with his back displaying increased width that enhanced his already impressive V-taper.

From the moment he stepped on stage, Terry’s combination of aesthetic flow, muscle density, and flawless conditioning set him apart from an elite field that included former champions Brandon Hendrickson, Erin Banks, and Jeremy Buendia.

Ali Bilal secured the silver medal for the second consecutive year, proving his consistency at bodybuilding’s highest level. The runner-up brought a well-rounded package without any discernible weaknesses, displaying the balance and proportion that Men’s Physique rewards. Despite his improvements, he couldn’t quite match Terry’s superior conditioning and stage presence.

Three-time champ Brandon Hendrickson claimed bronze with a performance that peaked at the perfect moment.

  • Winner — Ryan Terry ($50,000)
  • Second Place — Ali Bilal ($20,000)
  • Third Place —  Brandon Hendrickson ($12,000)
  • Fourth Place — Erin Banks ($7,000)

The 61st edition of the Olympia delivered a confirmation of Andrea Shaw’s dominance as she captured her sixth consecutive title, extending her reign as the undisputed queen of women’s bodybuilding.

While fans anticipated a heated rematch with Angela Yeo – who had defeated Shaw at the 2024 Rising Phoenix – the contest turned out very different, as Yeo had to settle for a fourth-place finish.

From the opening prejudging comparisons, Shaw commanded the stage.

Unlike typical prejudging protocols where top contenders are separated, Shaw and Yeo were placed together throughout the comparisons, initially heightening expectations. However, Shaw improved as the night went on.

Shaw’s legs displayed unprecedented definition with feathering that set new standards for the division. Her washboard abs, arguably the best in the industry. All in all, she brought her best physique to the Olympia stage and was rewarded appropriately.

Ashley Lynette Jones surged to claim the silver medal, improving from her third-place finish in 2024. The former Figure and Physique competitor, who outgrew those divisions, impressed with incredibly developed quads and flowing muscularity.

Leyvina Barros secured bronze, making the final callout alongside Shaw, Jones, and Yeo during prejudging and delivering her best Olympia showing to date.

  • Winner — Andrea Shaw ($50,000)
  • Second Place — Ashley Lynette Jones ($20,000)

The Figure Olympia delivered one of the weekend’s biggest surprises, crowning a new champion in what became a wide-open contest following eight-time champ Cydney Gillon’s retirement.

British competitor Rhea Gayle seized that opportunity, capturing her first Figure Olympia title in her seventh appearance. She climbed from seventh place in 2023 to fifth in 2024 before breaking through to claim the vacant throne.

Gayle brought a complete package, was shredded to the bone, and her confidence on stage evoked memories of Gillon’s championship presence.

Lola Montez, who entered as a legitimate frontrunner after her third-place finish at the 2024 Olympia, mounted a formidable challenge. The runner-up showcased a beautifully balanced physique with an outstanding X-frame that had many believing she could take the title. Her symmetry and proportion pushed Gayle to earn every point of her victory.

Arguably, the evening’s biggest upset was the 2024 silver medalist and reigning Masters Figure Olympia champion, Jessica Reyes Padilla, entering as the pre-competition favorite but ultimately settling for bronze.

Special recognition goes to Denise Zwinger-Tynek, who made the final callout in her Olympia debut. You could see her side delts in the front relaxed pose, which is outstanding. She was also the only athlete on the stage with striated glutes. She definitely has a bright future in the division.

  • Winner — Rhea Gayle  ($50,000)
  • Second Place — Lola Montez ($20,000)
  • Third Place —  Jessica Reyes Padilla ($12,000)
  • Fourth Place — Denise Zwinger-Tynek ($7,000)

The Fitness Olympia crowned British athlete Michelle Fredua-Mensah as its new champion, marking another changing of the guard in a division where physique meets athleticism.

In a competition where the fitness routine comprises two-thirds of the total score and physique posing accounts for the remaining third, Fredua-Mensah’s complete package proved unstoppable.

Fredua-Mensah commanded attention from the moment she stepped on stage, bringing an absolutely jacked physique that immediately separated her from the field. Initially placed on the outer positions during prejudging, she was quickly called to center stage – a clear signal that the judges recognized a frontrunner.

Her muscular development and conditioning, combined with a dynamic fitness routine, secured Britain’s first Fitness Olympia title.

Jaclyn Baker continued her impressive consistency, capturing the silver medal for the second consecutive year. Making both the first and final callouts, Baker demonstrated the reliability and excellence that have kept her at the division’s top, though she again fell just short of the ultimate prize.

Taylor Learmont emerged as the competition’s most captivating performer, despite not making the first callout. She is not the biggest or the most shredded athlete in the division, but she shines in the fitness routine.

Learmont’s gymnastics background translated into a performance so fluid and engaging that you couldn’t look away for a second, or you would miss a high-flying maneuver. Her performance helped her retain her third-place.

  • Winner — Michelle Fredua-Mensah ($50,000)
  • Second Place — Jaclyn Baker ($20,000)
  • Third Place —  Taylor Learmont ($12,000)

The Women’s Physique Olympia delivered a dramatic changing of the guard as Natalia Abraham Coelho reclaimed her throne, defeating four-time defending champion Sarah Villegas in what many predicted would be a two-woman showdown. She previously won in 2022 before Villegas’ recent dominance.

Coelho’s triumph denied Villegas a historic fifth title that would have made her the winningest athlete in the division’s history.

The Brazilian champion arrived in peak condition, displaying the perfect combination of muscle maturity, definition, and her signature flowing presentation that had captivated judges three years ago.

From the prejudging round, Coelho appeared in control, showcasing superior muscle definition and more chiseled abdominals than the defending champion.

Villegas, known for her incredible conditioning and consistency, brought another stellar package to the stage. Having won in 2020, 2021, 2023, and 2024, she entered as the heavy favorite to extend her reign. While she displayed the density and symmetry that had earned her four titles, she couldn’t match Coelho’s razor-sharp conditioning and commanding stage presence on this night.

Zama Benta secured a well-deserved bronze medal in her third Olympia appearance, matching her third-place finish from 2023. She was in perfect shape, checking all the right boxes with her symmetry, conditioning, and confident stage presence.

  • Winner — Natalia Abraham Coelho ($50,000)
  • Second Place — Sarah Villegas ($20,000)
  • Third Place — Zama Benta ($12,000)
  • Fourth Place — Brittany Herrera ($7,000)

The Wellness Olympia crowned a new champion as Eduarda Bezerra captured her maiden title, defeating defending champion Isabelle Nunes in a highly anticipated rematch from the 2025 Arnold Classic. The win made her the fifth new champion at this year’s Olympia, adding another twist to an already dramatic weekend.

Bezerra’s win completed her redemption arc after finishing third in 2024.

Having already proven she could beat Nunes at the Arnold Classic earlier this year, Bezerra arrived in Las Vegas full of confidence in her abilities. The crowd erupted as soon as she presented her physique, and their support intensified throughout her individual posing routine.

Despite bringing arguably the best presentation of her career with pristine conditioning and flawless posing, Nunes couldn’t hold off Bezerra’s combination of shape and fullness.

Elisa Alcantara secured bronze, improving from her fourth-place finish in 2024. Rayane Fogal, who many experts predicted could have a breakout year, delivered on that promise with a fourth-place finish.

  • Winner — Eduarda Bezerra ($50,000)
  • Second Place — Isabelle Nunes ($20,000)
  • Third Place — Elisa Alcantara ($12,000)
  • Fourth Place — Rayane Fogal ($7,000)

The Bikini Olympia delivered one of the night’s biggest surprises as Maureen Blanquisco returned from a year-long injury absence to reclaim her throne, capturing her second Bikini Olympia title after previously winning in 2022.

The former champion brought a perfectly balanced physique that flowed seamlessly from every angle, displaying the full, round muscle development and precise conditioning that the Bikini division rewards. Her stage presence proved unmatched throughout the competition.

In the evening’s biggest shock, defending champion Lauralie Chapados failed to crack the top five, a stunning fall for the athlete who had dominated just one year prior. The result underscored the Bikini division’s competitive depth.

Ashlyn Little secured the silver medal, making a dramatic improvement from her sixth-place finish in 2024. Now in her sixth Olympia appearance, Little brought notable improvements, particularly adding size to her legs that completed her hourglass silhouette.

Jasmine Gonzalez maintained her consistency with a bronze medal finish, matching her third-place showing from 2024. In just her second Olympia appearance, the rising star displayed phenomenal back development with exceptional glute shape and separation.

  • Winner — Maureen Blanquisco ($50,000)
  • Second Place — Ashlyn Little ($20,000)
  • Third Place —  Jasmine Gonzalez ($12,000)

With defending champion Harold Kelley absent from the lineup, the division witnessed a wide-open battle that showcased the incredible dedication and development of adaptive athletes at bodybuilding’s highest level.

The upper body development across the entire lineup was remarkable, with each athlete displaying peak conditioning, impressive size, and the kind of separation that would be noteworthy in any division.

The Wheelchair Olympia crowned James Berger as its new champion in one of the most inspiring transformations.

Berger climbed from eighth place at the 2024 Olympia to the top spot just one year later. He brought exceptional muscle conditioning to the stage, with round, full muscle bellies that commanded attention from the opening comparisons.

Kevin Secundino of France secured the silver medal, matching his runner-up finish from 2024. His complete package and exceptional presentation resonated with the crowd, who rallied behind him during his individual posing routine.

Indian bodybuilder Rajesh John claimed bronze with his freakish size. He definitely won some of the mandatory poses, but couldn’t hold off Berger and Secundino just enough to land in the top two.

  • Winner — James Berger
  • Second Place — Kevin Secundino
  • Third Place — Rajesh John
  • Fourth Place — Gorila Fabiano Josue
  • Fifth Place — Gabriele Andriulli
  • Sixth Place — Antonio Matkovic
