Denise Herber entered the 2024 WRPF Ghost Clash 3 as the defending champion, and displayed an even greater performance than last year. The competition took place on April 7th in Phuket, Thailand, where the German powerlifter competed in and won the overall women’s Raw W/Wraps division. However, the highlight of her day came in the deadlift event. where she locked out 291.5 kilograms (642.6 pounds), which marked a new U75KG All-Time Raw World Record.
Denise Herber started off with an easy first attempt of 270 kilograms (595.2 pounds), before pulling 280 kilograms (617.3 pounds) to equal her former competition PR on the second attempt. Then, on the third attempt, she stepped into uncharted territory with a 291.5-kilogram (642.6-pound) deadlift.
Herber did not use any equipment to perform her record-breaking lift, not even a lifting belt, which is allowed in the raw division. Her style of deadlifting combined a conventional stance and a mixed grip, all of which allowed her to pull 291.5 kilograms (642.6 pounds). It took a while for the barbell to start moving off the floor, but once it did, Herber easily passed the height of her knees. She then had to grind for a bit in order to fully lock out the deadlift.

Denise Herber had an absolutely perfect performance, having successfully performed all nine of her attempts, proving just how well she executes her plans. In turn, she was the best U75KG lifter, and also won the overall women’s Raw W/Wraps division, which included all weight classes. The rankings on the overall leaderboard were determined by the DOTS score, with Denise’s result coming out to 683.638 points.

This is the second consecutive edition of the 2024 WRPF Ghost Clash 3 that Denise Herber managed to win. However, Herber has a plethora of other impressive titles as well. In fact, Denise has taken part in a total of 13 sanctioned powerlifting competitions so far and managed to win ten of them. In addition to that, Denise now officially holds an All-Time World Record.
