Farhanna Farid made her appearance at the 2026 IPF World Classic Open Powerlifting Championships on June 14th in Druskininkai, Lithuania. She was a part of the 52-kilogram weight class, where she placed fifth behind some incredible athletes. However, Farhanna stole the spotlight on the final event, having managed to set a new 220.5-kilogram (486.1-pound) Raw Deadlift IPF World Record.
Farhanna Farid is known for being a deadlift specialist and pulling weights that are absolutely mind-blowing for her weight class. As such, she decided to open up with a 202.5-kilogram (446.4-pound) lift, which proved to be heavier than any other U52KG lifter managed to achieve throughout all three of their attempts. However, while that might be an impossible task for the rest, it was nothing but a warmup for Farid. The second round of deadlifts saw Farhanna Farid jump up to 215 kilograms (474 pounds). This was another routine lift for her and a stepping stone toward the final record-breaking attempt.
Consequently, Farhanna Farid loaded 220.5 kilograms (486.1 pounds) for her final deadlift. It exceeded the record by 3 kilograms (6.6 pounds) but also turned out to be just enough for Farhanna to beat Lea Lucas and place in the top five overall. She completed the deadlift with the use of a sumo stance and a mixed grip. As for the equipment, Farhanna only utilized a lifting belt.
*The previous U52KG Raw Deadlift IPF World Record of 217.5 kilograms (479.5 pounds) was also held by Farhanna Farid, which she set at the 2025 AsianPF Asian Masters & Open Powerlifting Championships.
