Tiffany Chapon has held the status of the world’s greatest powerlifter in her division for years, but she lost that title last year following a tremendous battle against Heather Connor. Consequently, she aimed to reclaim the throne at the 2026 IPF World Classic Open Powerlifting Championships on June 13th in Druskininkai, Lithuania. Tiffany competed in her usual 47-kilogram weight class, where she managed to set new Raw Squat and Total IPF World Records to claim gold.
Tiffany Chapon’s Performance Overview
Tiffany Chapon weighed in at 46.80 kilograms (103.2 pounds) for the 2026 IPF World Classic Open Powerlifting Championships, which was just below the threshold for her division. She ended the day with eight successful lifts, with her only miss being the final bench press attempt. As a result, Tiffany claimed her fifth title at the IPF Worlds.
Squat
Tiffany Chapon decided to open up the competition with a 157.5-kilogram (347.2-pound) squat, which was consistent with what she did in a couple of previous competitions. She then made a 10-kilogram (22-pound) jump for her second attempt and managed to get another successful lift under her belt.
For her last attempt, Tiffany Chapon decided to put everything on the line and loaded 170.5 kilograms (375.9 pounds) on the barbell. She set up a relatively narrow stance, which clearly worked for her as she managed to complete the lift pretty comfortably. Tiffany wore a lifting belt, knee sleeves, and wrist wraps, all of which are allowed in raw powerlifting.

Bench Press
The bench press is arguably the best event for Tiffany Chapon, as no woman in her division is able to come even close to her. However, she is always looking to improve and beat her PRs. On this occasion, that was not the case, as Chapon’s heaviest press came out to 105 kilograms (231.5 pounds). She did try to lift 107.5 kilograms (237 pounds) on her final attempt, which would have tied her own World Record. Unfortunately, she was unable to successfully complete the lift.
- 100 kilograms (220.5 pounds)
- 105 kilograms (231.5 pounds)
- Unsuccessful — 107.5 kilograms (237 pounds)
Deadlift
Seeing that the squat and bench press went extremely well for Tiffany Chapon, she made sure to maintain the momentum and put up some incredible lifts on the deadlift. Chapon approached the event with a strategy, knowing exactly how much weight she had to pull in order to break the Total World Record. So, on her final attempt, she locked out 177.5 kilograms (391.3 pounds) on her final attempt and closed out another incredible day of competition.
- 165 kilograms (363.8 pounds)
- 175 kilograms (385.8 pounds)
- 177.5 kilograms (391.3 pounds)
Total — 453 kilograms (998.7 pounds) — U47KG IPF World Record
*Tiffany Chapon also held the previous U47KG Raw Total World Record of 451.5 kilograms (995.4 pounds), which she set at the 2026 IPF Sheffield Powerlifting Championships.

The French powerlifter is mainly focusing on major competitions, such as the World Championships, Sheffield Championships, and national meets. Consequently, she has accumulated 29 sanctioned powerlifting competitions and ended 21 of those with a win.
