Earlier this week, Derek from the More Plates More Dates YouTube channel allegedly exposed Liver King’s (real name Brian Johnson) steroid cycle in a leaked email. Around 24 hours later, Liver King issued a brief statement about the scandal and said he’s grateful it’s shedding light on such a complicated topic.

Johnson leads a unique lifestyle, which consists of practicing the nine ancestral tenets. These practices center around community, family, and health. He consumes raw organ meat regularly, like liver, and credits the unconventional diet for his impressive physique and way of life.

Eventually, the fitness industry caught wind of his lifetime claim of being natural. Some in the community, like Joe Rogan, were quick to draw conclusions about Liver King’s physique. At one point, Rogan outright said Johnson was filled with steroids. However, the 45-year-old has vehemently denied these allegations. He even joined a number of podcasts to dismiss Rogan’s claims about his body.

Liver King labeled Joe Rogan’s steroid accusations as dangerous. While he continued to push Rogan to have him on his podcast, the UFC color analyst doesn’t seem interested. Given the severity of the new allegations made by Derek of MPMD, Liver King issued a public response after his alleged full cycle went public.

UPDATE: Liver King Confesses to Steroid Use After Leaked Email

Liver King ‘Grateful’ for Recent Steroid Scandal: ‘These Events Shed Light on This Complicated-As-Fu** Topic’

In an email obtained by Rolling Stones, the social media star gave a brief statement in response to all of the recent accusations.

“In a weird way, I’m grateful for the recent events that have shed light on this complicated-as-fuck topic,” Liver King told Rolling Stones.

Liver King offered to clear the air in a “long-form podcast,” but that medium wasn’t available at the time. Unfortunately, these statements did not directly address Derek’s claims about his natty or not status. Moreover, his message did not confirm or deny the authenticity of the emails leaked by Derek of MPMD.

In his last pair of posts published on Instagram, the CEO of the Ancestral Lifestyle was seen eating the liver of a Mongolian Yak as well as holding a large eagle. He made no mention of the bombshell news in either clip.

On top of steroid suspicions, fans and fitness influencers alike have accused Johnson of having a fake set of abs. He poured fuel on that fire while appearing on Logan Paul’s Impaulsive podcast. Johnson ate raw meat with the crew and voiced that his abs were implants. He added that he spent over $100,000 on them.

Kenny KO, a popular fitness personality known for calling out fake nattys, confronted Liver King about his abs and natural status. At the time, Liver King denied ab implants and called Kenny’s steroid accusations ‘ridiculous.’

From the looks of it, this story is likely to develop in the coming weeks. Should Liver King issue a formal statement on the matter, Fitness Volt will keep you up to date on the details.
