Bodybuilder Samson Dauda is keeping training intense before guest posing in Pittsburgh. In a YouTube video from May 11, 2026, he joined Larry Wheels for a superset workout to build massive arms. Dauda also offered Wheels key tips to improve his posing.
Dauda is ready to turn the page after a challenging 2025 bodybuilding season. He entered Mr. Olympia as the reigning champ, but his plan to bring better conditioning backfired. Dauda lacked his usual fullness and size and had to settle for a fourth-place finish.
His attempt to rebound at the 2025 Prague Pro was cut short by surging Open contender Martin Fitzwater. After the event, Dauda shut down his contest season to focus on regaining size. However, some in the bodybuilding community, like Shawn Ray, believe that could be a mistake.
Larry Wheels, meanwhile, continues to tease a possible jump into the Men’s Open. He earned his IFBB Pro card in Classic Physique and got the chance to see how he compared against higher-caliber talent at the 2025 Musclecontest Bullman Pro. Wheels ultimately took 10th place, leaving many to wonder what’s next for the fitness star.

Machine Preacher Curls (Superset A)
Dauda explained that he prefers training the biceps and triceps together, prompting him to include supersets in the workout. By performing two exercises consecutively with little to no rest, this training method can help burn extra calories and reduce total training time.
“I like to work both the biceps and triceps at the same time. I like to get both pumped up at the same time. Not just finish triceps first, then move to biceps, then biceps. I like both parts of it being hit at the same time simultaneously. You’ll find a lot of our workout today is supersets.”
“The way I train, my heart has to be pounding the whole time, so I can stay cardiovascularly fit whilst I’m training intensely, regardless of my size,” Samson Dauda said.
Triceps Pushdowns (Superset B)
For maximum blood flow and pump, Dauda starts each exercise with higher volume, then slowly increases the weight.
“Your first rep, first set, you go quite high to get the blood flow in there. As you go up a plate, you’re going to get heavier. You are probably not hitting that 15 reps, you got to start coming down to 12 or 10, but then, you kind of compensate that.”
“Sometimes when I’m supersetting, I’m doing 30 reps, 15 on one machine, 15 on the other.”
Seated Cable Overhead Triceps Extension
Dauda opened up on his mass-building strategy for the 2026 Mr. Olympia and his goal to limit water weight.
“We tried obviously to put on a lot of mass for the Olympia, but we want to make sure it’s not just a bunch of water weight and weight that I can’t use.
So, we make sure we go up and come down and balance it out so the body gets used to it. So you don’t look messy for that weight.”
Posing Session
“The Nigerian Lion” offered Wheels tips to improve his most muscular, side triceps, front lat spread, side chest, and back double biceps poses.

In time, fans hope to see Larry Wheels back onstage, though he has voiced a desire to weigh up to 300 pounds. As for Dauda, his focus is on the guest posing event at the Pittsburgh Pro, where he’ll share the stage with Derek Lunsford and Chinedu Andrew ‘Jacked’ Obiekea.
