It was announced earlier today, that Rhoden would be facing charges of 1st-degree rape. Allegedly, Rhoden sexually assaulted a female bodybuilder, in a hotel room. The report states that the alleged victim met with Rhoden in his hotel room before he forced himself on her.
The woman proceeded to demand he stop, before convincing him to let her go. She told Rhoden that there was someone waiting for her, who would know there was something wrong. Subsequently, she reported directly to the police, who proceeded to subject her to a rape test. According to reports, DNA was found, along with lacerations, suggesting the allegations had legitimacy.
Now, a few hours later, a warrant has been issued for Shawn Rhoden. Although he has yet to be apprehended, a massive bond has already been set for the 44-year old. According to official documents obtained by TMZ Sports, the bond has been set for a whopping $750,000.
Shawn Rhoden is a huge figure in the bodybuilding world. This situation in Utah will, without a doubt, tarnish his legacy. These horrendous accusations could spell the end of the career of “Flexatron.” Additionally, when one considers that these charges come from someone who considered Rhoden a mentor, this is a bad look.
Shawn Rhoden was expected to compete at the 2019 Mr. Olympia event, although now that seems rather unlikely.
