We may be just a month removed from the 2020 Mr. Olympia, but we are already setting our sights on the 2021 Mr. Olympia. The rules for the OQS have been revealed, and some athletes are already qualified for the show.

It is unclear at this time, when the 2021 Olympia will take place. It typically happens in the fall, but when the global pandemic pushed last year’s contest to December it has left fans wondering if it will stay in the winter moving forward.

While the specifics of the contest are still being worked out, the Olympia Qualification System has already been outlined for the 2021 season. This details the rules with which bodybuilders qualify for the big show.

2021 Mr. Olympia Qualification System Rules

The qualification period for the 2021 Mr. Olympia began on October 19th, 2020, meaning some athletes already have qualifications or OQS points. Athletes who place 2nd-5th at IFBB pro shows will earn points towards their qualification.

There are different tier levels of competitions for certain divisions, with each tier awarding different points. Below is a breakdown of those tiers and point systems:

Divisions With Less Than 25 Contests (Men’s Open, 212, Fitness, Figure, Women’s Physique, Women’s Open, Wellness)
