The 2022 Mr. Olympia contest was held in Las Vegas, Nevada this year and after the smoke cleared, Chris Bumstead became a four-time Classic Physique Olympia titleholder on Saturday night (Dec. 17, 2022).

Bumstead faced a number of challenges through prejudging and finals. Two-time Arnold Classic winner Terrence Ruffin impressed early with great posing. Additionally, Urs Kalecinski, Brazil’s Ramon Rocha Queiroz, and Breon Ansley all looked sharp throughout the show.

The hype and fanfare behind this contest seemed to be at its highest this year. Bodybuilding legend Arnold Schwarzenegger has suggested that Classic Physique is the future and a safer alternative to the sport rather than pursuing a career in the Open.

Bumstead, the most popular bodybuilder on social media, continues his dominance, and showed that he was able to overcome adversity after he stopped training with Iain Valliere weeks ahead of the scheduled show. While plenty of challengers attempted to take his title, Chris Bumstead cemented his status as a four-time Classic Physique Olympia winner.

Trailing behind Bumstead was Ramon Rocha Queiroz in second and Urs Kalecinski in third. Former two-time champ Breon Ansley took fourth at his last Classic Physique contest and is committed to the 212 in the near future. Mike Sommerfeld finished fifth after bringing an exciting individual performance routine.
