Chris Duffin is a book author, gym owner, educator, engineer and a very strong individual. He is the owner of the “Kabuki Strength” gym and gym equipment manufacturing company. When he is not writing, coaching or doing entrepreneur stuff, he likes to lift heavy stuff and this time, he did some serious heavy squats for reps!
Here’s what Chris had to say about this in his own words;
982×2 for a top set HOLY SHIITE! After 965×2, 916×2 lead up and a 943×2 drop set. Average load over 8 reps was 951…WORK!!! But damn this grind takes a mental and physical toll that is beyond explaining. But I said I will do it… so it will be. Song is Requiem For A Tower.
Chris goes on further to explain his strength goals for 2020, which include doing a 1000lbs squat for 3 reps! Now I can’t even begin to explain how insane that sounds and how rare doing something like that will be. Chris mentions that when he accomplishes that, it will a culmination of over 30 years of lifting and working with the best minds in the prehab/rehab industry.
All this at the age of 43 is nothing short of amazing! With the best crew having his back and the laser-sharp focus on his goal, there is no doubt that Chris Duffin will for sure be able to squat 1000lbs for a triple.
