Lya Bavoil is known for her incredible ability to hit huge squats. She was in the gym recently, hitting another insane squat set.

Bavoil is a young and exciting French powerlifter, who just turned 26 years old. She has been crushing it in her recent competition performances, setting world records. She won the 2019 European Championships last December, and even went on to score a new –63kg world record for both her squat and total lift. As a result, she has quickly become a must-see competitor in the powerlifting world.

Since having such a stellar 2019, Bavoil is only looking to continue getting better. A recent set of videos posted to Instagram shows just how much work she is improving. Here she is hitting a set of five different squats, with the highlight being a ridiculous 451lb lift. This is insane, considering it is a whopping 26lb over the record that she set in December.

Check out the awesome set of lifts:

“SQUAT .

🎥 1 x 195 kg / 429 lbs
🎥 2 x 2 x 190 kg / 418 lbs”

The 451lb squat Lya Bavoil hit was not the only one that exceeded her record. She also hit a 429lb squat, which was 5lb over. Moreover, she hit two sets of a 418lb double, to finish off the post. It was a truly impressive display of improvement and growth, and if it were in competition it would have set another new record.

Bavoil has been successful in making it to the podium in all five of her powerlifters meets. Although she has not been competing that long, she never ceases to impress. Her lack of experience makes her record-setting performances all the more impressive.

Lya Bavoil is one of the most exciting young powerlifters competing in the world right now. If this work in the gym is any indication, 2020 is sure to be another big year in the career of this talented young lady.
