Dexter Jackson Shares Charles Glass-Style Arms Workout for Longevity

Jackson opened up about his latest arm workout inspired by his former trainer Charles Glass. As a bodybuilder and trainer, Glass is highly respected within the community for his detailed and intricate training techniques. He’s also known as the Godfather of Bodybuilding.

“That being said, I’m going to head to the gym and get a workout in. Not sure what I’m going to train today, hamstrings, maybe hamstrings and shoulders. That’s usually what I train on Thursdays. I might switch it up a little bit and do arms today.”

“Just finished up with biceps, I liked to train, I still do the same routine that Charles [Glass] and I always did. Bis and tris same day. So, I just finished up with doing my final biceps exercise now we’re going to go ahead and knock out a quadruple set on triceps.”

210-Lb Jackson Focused on Living Another 50 Yrs, Plans to Teach Fans How to Live Longer Lives

‘The Blade’ said Jay Cutler told him staying in shape post-bodybuilding is one of the toughest tasks to accomplish due to the discipline required.

“One thing that I learned from Jay Cutler: Jay told me, he said, ‘One thing you’re going to have how to say it – the hardest thing in life is staying in shape post-retirement.’ I remember, when I first retired and I took about a few months off, you know… sitting on the couch all the time, I pulled them clothes off one day, boy, I looked in that mirror, and I was like, ‘Oh hell no!’ So, that’s what motivated me to get back in the gym and get to work.”
Jackson is weighing around 210 pounds and emphasized that he plans to live another 50 years. He intends to teach others about living longer lives in the months to come.

“Because I still weighed about what I weigh now, about 205, 210 but I wasn’t in shape. So I was only eating like twice a day. Now, I took my meals up to four meals a day. It’s amazing how the body responds when you give the body more fuel and more food and all that stuff and just the difference in how you look, you know what I’m saying. A lot of people saying, ‘Oh boy, you back on shit again.’ Man, no, them days are over. I’m trying to live another 50. I’m going to teach you guys how to live a long life. I taught you already how to have a long bodybuilding career, now I’m going to teach you how to live another 50 on top of that.”

Jackson Teases ‘Something’ for Fans to ‘Look Good and Stay in Shape’

Jackson revealed that he’s currently working on a mysterious project for fans.

“I got something coming for you guys that I’ve been working on myself with – um — I’m not going to reveal anything yet because like I said, I got something coming for you guys and you’re going to appreciate it. It’s something that has helped me continue to look good and stay in shape, you know what I’m saying. But anyways, now I’m giving up way too much so. I wanted to do that you know, start talking, but I can’t hold shit, I can’t hold water. Your boy can’t hold water I’m going to tell ya’ll everything before the shit comes out and I’m going to look stupid. Let me chill,” Dexter Jackson said.

In retirement, Jackson has been an open book, often sharing workout routines that he stands by today. One of his favorites for maintaining jacked arms at 53 is biceps 21s curls, which are a modified version of biceps curls.

It appears Jackson’s focus is shifting away from a possible bodybuilding return. Considering his ability to remain healthy, he’s excited to teach others how to live longer and healthier lives.
